But none of us will surpass Miss Terbee, so what's the point?

Posted by: infinitejester at August 24, 2009 9:54 AM

OK so I went to VUE at Hotel LeBleu for brunch on Saturday. The views from the restaurant are on 4th avenue and look at a "beautiful" (sarcasm) condo/rental development and a couple of empty parking lots. The views from the outdoor balcony are nice if you look straight to the city but pretty much they are at the back of the restaurant and overlook the whole Gowanus and a bunch of ugly rooftops and warehouses which are not very pleasing.

The service was very attentive, a little too much for my tastes. They must of came over 5 times after we got our plates to see how everything was going in a half an hour span that we were eating even though they clearly saw us still working on our food and we never called them over. We were the only table there when we got there (around 12ish) and by the time we were leaving (around 1ish) there were 2 other couples having brunch.

The food was fantastic. I had the Lobster Benedict and even though the combination of the two didn't work that great for my tastes, everything was cooked well and tasted great separately. My friend had the Kobe beef burger with shoestring fries and that was excellent, cooked exactly like she ordered (medium rare). The complementary mimosas/bellini's and homemade blueberry muffins were also excellent.

Denton, TVs were off this time. Funny enough that same night for sixyear's go away, we ended up talking to the bartender at sycamore who sixyears knew and VUE is his brother's place. He asked me my honest opinion of the restaurant and I told him exactly what I wrote above plus I made a comment about TVs showing Food Network during dinner and he said that they realized it wasn't a smart choice and now they are showing various pictures/photography of Brooklyn and Manhattan during their dinner service. He said that they are still working out a few things, including service, since this is their soft opening and they are only officially having their grand opening in September.

Overall, I will be trying it again since the food was good and the rooftop lounge seemed like a cool place for drinks on a good day.

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 10:32 AM

Biffy my friend, I don't likey Pina Coladas, especially in the afternoon. I didn't even have my bellini, just tried a sip.

Sixyears' send off was good. By the time I got there, a bunch of people must have left since it was only six, jessi, cgar, etson, myself and another couple that were six's friends outside of brownstoner (yeah go figure, he got other friends outside the PLUSA clan). :o)

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 10:43 AM

sixyears has other friends? Hmmmm. Good thing he is leaving as I believe there is a requirement in the PLUSA Policies & Procedures Manual to cease all contact with former friends and family, unless they are also certified PLUSAs.

Cobble, is that correct?

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 10:47 AM

Miss Placed here. It's amazing how OT can either have 100 posts by this time, or a measely 30.

Anybody actually read that Park Slope "Sex and the City) knock-off?

I had a huge fight with Park Slope Parents over their posting rules, and left the site. A few people emailed me privately and said how they didn't want to get kicked out, but supported my point of view (it was about a crazy accupuncturist woman who kep posting autism-vaccine links. That kinds of stuff drives me nuts.)

Posted by: bupe at August 24, 2009 10:47 AM

Biff, Kens must be busy painting lead paint on toys. sixyears' (second) send-off was very nice - he actually let some PLUSAs (or PLUZAs as they say north of the border ;-)) meet his "real" friends.

Posted by: CarrollGardened at August 24, 2009 10:48 AM

The only people I know outside of brownstoner are ones I have sex with.

None of them drink pina coladas.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 10:48 AM

DIBS, most of the people you have sex with have a genetic deificiency that renders them pretty much incapable of processing alcohol. The Latinos are pretty good at handling their booze, though.

And Kens, what's your tolerance - how much Vodka do you have to drink before you consider yourself unfit to drive?

Posted by: bupe at August 24, 2009 10:52 AM

Dave, it's "none of them DRINKS Pina Coladas".

What's this place coming to? Between the bad Cantonese orthography and the lazy English grammar...not to mention the bad Chinese food in the Forum thread....

bxgirl--the problem with jcheff is that he seems to be desperately trying to write in the wry, cheeky voice of this site, and belly-flopping badly due to lack of experience.

I don't think he's racist as much as tone-deaf. My guess is that he wasn't an avid reader of the site before got the job.

I miss the woman who used to contribute--Lisa something or other.

Posted by: Expert Textpert at August 24, 2009 11:00 AM

This site has a "wry, cheeky voice"? Hmmh. I really hadn't noticed.

Posted by: CarrollGardened at August 24, 2009 11:02 AM

I am wondering why Mr. B. himself posted about a building on Marcy Ave. stating it was on the "Clinton Hill-Bed Stuy border." There are a lot of l-o-n-g blocks between Classon and Marcy.

Posted by: rf at August 24, 2009 11:03 AM

Kens, the subject of the sentence is "None", which is singular. So the verb has to go with the subject--therefore it's "None (of them) drinks...."

Okay, okay I'll stop now. Sorry. I was just channeling sixth grade. Easy to do in the OT...:)

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 11:10 AM

WonTon, thanks. I have a very bad knowledge of grammar rules since I came here at 11 and pretty much learned English from watching lots of TV. I have never taken any grammar classes so I pretty much write/type what sounds right to me.

Knowing these things does help me out.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 11:11 AM

Kens...there's a pretty simple rule of thumb...if the noun is singular, the verb usually ends in "s." It works most of the time.

The Chinawoman was correct, nitpicky, but correct.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 11:13 AM

Dave lol. He was been posting this nonsense in every thread this morning.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 11:19 AM

haha Kens - your English is better than my Russian for sure.

Spasiva!!

Posted by: dirty_hipster at August 24, 2009 11:20 AM

"has" been posting this nonsense, Kens, if we are going to continue with the grammar nitpicking. :)

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 11:20 AM

DH, it's SpaciBa lol. I think my Spanish is better than your Russian, comprende?

It's still no excuse, we live in America not Russia so my English should definitely be substantially better. Reading and posting here has helped me greatly, beleive it or not.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 11:22 AM

That one I knew Dave. typo.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 11:24 AM

Kens, the entire English class curriculum when I was in 6th or 7th grade consisted of "diagramming" which involved carving up sentences into funny little branches according to the parts of speech (noun, verb, adverb, conjunction, etc.).

We spent the entire YEAR doing this exercise, which was mind-numbing, but which I liked because I was good at it. I don't think that schools teach this anymore...the kids would rebel, and the parents would complain that it isn't "creative" enough.

Posted by: WonTon at August 24, 2009 11:25 AM

beleive=believe

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 11:25 AM

"Reading and posting here has helped me greatly, beleive it or not."

"i" before "e" except after "c" or when sounded like "a" as in "neighbor" and "weigh"

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 11:26 AM

dave- between Marcy and Tompkins.

Posted by: bxgrl at August 24, 2009 11:26 AM

Yes, WonTon...you must have had nuns because I "diagrammed" sentences for years with them

Subject/Verb/Object

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 11:27 AM

One of the fun things about learning a second or third language, is that you begin to understand why native speakers of a particular language mangle English in similar ways. It's because they are threading English through the language they already know.

That is why speakers of Chinese very often mix up the words "he" and "she". Because Chinese isn't gender-inflected--there's no he or she, just a unisex third person "ta" (or, in Canto, "keuih").

I have the reverse problem as an English-dominant person speaking Spanish, where every noun carries a gender (unlike English, where nouns are gender-neutral). I confuse my "la" with my "el" nouns all the time...cause I've never figured out why you can have "la pinga".

Posted by: WonTon at August 24, 2009 11:30 AM

WT - Some schools still do diagramming - I've helped 3 or 4 kids on my block w/ it.
If you think of "none" as meaning "not one", it's easier to remember to make it singular.

Posted by: Arkady at August 24, 2009 11:57 AM

This weekend I checked out the new seamstress/tailor who's opened up shop on 5th Avenue next to Bogota. It's the first time in years I've seen a serious, skilled tailor in the neighborhood, so I was excited.

Her name is Mila, and she's Russian, and quite lovely. Based on the silk curtain she whipped up for me overnight, she's good at her work. Speaking of second language English, Mila's is totally charming. We talked about American tailoring ignorance, and she said:

"Twelve years ago, I come to this country. I look around, see clothing. Then I ask myself question: Bad fit. Is American style?"

They suck, that's what. Jason Williams is too smart to sign here. I'm sure you have noticed recently that NO ONE wants to play w/the Knicks?? If you were serious about your b-ball career would you come to the Knicks?? They are my team forever, but even I have to admit they are a league-wide joke.

Yes, we are a cult. We act like a cult, we brainwash like a cult. And we insist on cutting all ties with the outside world. You must only interact with PLUSAs.

Kens, you have a crush on 11217? With or without the blonde wig? People here just get curiouser and curiouser. ;-)

ah thanks bxgrl. Geez, I like you too.
When do I get my PLUSA manual? Or do I have to wait till SHE returns hers with the plastic pumps and Engilsh to bawdy language dictionary?

cobble, clearly the index needs some work, yes? (I can't play much today either - have to catch up on everything I didn't get done last week, so I can go on vacation next week!)

Vacuuming here and what's #1 on the debris list? PLUSA GLITTER!

6, I can't get the glitter out of my briefcase, I keep finding it in my apartment too (even post-vacuuming). No doubt you'll be moving some of it to DC. Speaking of glitter, where IS Snappy today?

Posted by: CarrollGardened at August 24, 2009 1:34 PM

aaaaah geez Kens, you sure know how to make this 'Return' blush.
(batting my eyes)

You are dreamy.

Posted by: Return of bayridgegirl at August 24, 2009 1:36 PM

ah looks like I made it just in time to help Biff with bar recommendations for the day. CarGar, I emailed you, been busy... I too keep finding glitter everywhere, even on the cats!

Posted by: herkimermaid at August 24, 2009 1:41 PM

no no. I don't take away "Dreamy" name from Biffmiester.

Speaking of which, do any of you know if the following bars have enough areas to hide and stalk people?

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 1:42 PM

CGar, you need to get the story straight.

Kens = crush on BRG personalities (especially the ones that do good re-writes). Also crush on Latinas.

11217 = crush on Dirty Hipster.

DIBS = crush on anyone who is Asian or Latino MALE(S)

Snappy = crush on Serena Williams look alikes.

Biff = crush on whomever find him interesting and/or dreamy (especially after 6 beers).

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 1:46 PM

"no no. I don't take away "Dreamy" name from Biffmiester."

Kens, it is "Biffmeister".

I will amend DIBS' rule at 11:26 above:

"i" before "e" except after "c" or when sounded like "a" as in "neighbor" and "weigh" or when preceded by "Biffm"

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 1:46 PM

Biff - I haven't been to either of those bars. If that's where you end up there is a bar right across the street that's worth checking out (for only one drink, preferrably a beer and only if you are going during the week)

It's called the Back Room. It's another prohibition speakeasy, but it's quite possibly one of the most beautiful bars in the city. Stick to beer, during the week and you should be fine.

Posted by: dirty_hipster at August 24, 2009 1:46 PM

DH, awesome, thanks for the suggestion. Back Room sounds very cool and my friend is always looking for new hangouts for when he visits.

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 1:50 PM

A friend just mentioned Death and Co. and PDT too if one likes Speakeasy type places.

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 1:56 PM

Ohhhh! Congratulations to Six. Oop, we spoke about this at length last year and I thought he said he already had a master's degree. The bar was loud -- maybe he said he was going to get one! Or maybe he's getting another degree.

Posted by: mopar at August 24, 2009 1:57 PM

What's a Biffmeister? Is that a noun?
Where's Dave? Is he at a nooner?

Posted by: Return of bayridgegirl at August 24, 2009 2:07 PM

Thanks, Kens. When cobble comes up for air, we'll dutifully add it to the PLUSA manual, which, at this point, is going to have to be split into 2 volumes.

herkimer, got your e-mail, thanks!

Posted by: CarrollGardened at August 24, 2009 2:10 PM

"A friend just mentioned Death and Co. and PDT too if one likes Speakeasy type places."

Both are great cocktail places - I prefer D&C over PDT as it is bigger and the guys behind the bar are a little more efficient.

If you guys are going the cocktail route, I highly recommend White Star on Essex and Hester. It's an offshoot of the original (and best in my opinion) cocktail bar in the city - Milk and Honey. All of the bartenders either work at MH or were trained there. They also have a happy hour $7 cocktails.

It's also off the beaten trail and not as crowded as PDT, DC et all

Posted by: dirty_hipster at August 24, 2009 2:19 PM

Thanks again DH. I think we'll hit Death & Co, Nurse Bettie and Back Room (and everything in between along the walk).

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 2:54 PM

Who are you talking about Rob?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 2:55 PM

Hey there Snappy. Poor Hari, what's going on with that poor little booger?

Is Pia still being nice to the little fella?

Posted by: TownhouseLady at August 24, 2009 2:57 PM

Pia is dying to get close to him, but until the poo sample comes back free of worms, etc. she can't go near him. He's still having tummy trouble...struggling in the box, runny, etc. Yuck. (sorry so graphic, but there's no way to dress that up!)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:01 PM

The vaca was great. Just what the doctor ordered. We did a lot of sleeping, eating, sunning and swimming. Mom always had some delicious home cooked meal on deck.

I also really enjoyed the freedom of a pet free house (maybe a little too much). Our cat/house sitter was a saint and kept everything super tidy at the homestead so besides the giant gash someone placed over Paw-Paw's eye we came home to very happy overfed cats.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at August 24, 2009 3:01 PM

Yikes...a gash? But the vaca sounds like it was perfect.

Pia is a total babe :) Thanks Dave.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:12 PM

Yeah a pretty big one too. I cleaned it all out and in my professional opinion, he'll live.

Fact is he's not the brightest bulb and he's also a super big wuss. He loves to try to befriend Cookie and she wants NOTHING to do with him. He follows her around cooing (I think it's because he was a MAJOR momma's boy when he was outside, never left her side). Anyhoo, he always gets too close or tries to lay next to her when she's sleeping. She hisses, growls, chases him away and takes swipes at his constantly. He just doesn't get it though. He never strikes back, he just cries. It's kinda sad and pathetic all at the same time. He's got two other girls (his sisters) who constantly dote on him but he wants the one who doesn't want him.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at August 24, 2009 3:14 PM

Awwww! Poor baby! I guess no matter how old you get, you still need your mommy. That is too sweet.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:15 PM

Posted by: TownhouseLady at August 24, 2009 3:24 PM

Hey snappy- sorry to hear Hari is having problems again. I have several cats who have had irritable colon for years. they're fine otherwise- happy, healthy, annoying as all hell, but every so often have episodes. Moose- my oldest cat- has a serious case of it. He was on steroid medication ofr over a year and now he seems more or less back to semi-normal. But every week or so he has a runny stomach and accidents (although always right by the litterbox, at least.

Posted by: bxgrl at August 24, 2009 3:24 PM

Snarky, now I know where I'll be spending my Saturday nights. Either peeping from the Highline or walking around hotel lobby looking for potential target to test out the theory.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 3:26 PM

Snark, I saw a guy changing in the hotel window (and one I could've done without seeing at that), but no sex or porn shoots (unfortunately). Going back to the High Line on Friday, so this time I'll bring binoculars.

Posted by: CarrollGardened at August 24, 2009 3:27 PM

Snappy, you bring the popcorn/chips I'll bring the beer (brown baggies of course). We'll have a "screening" this upcoming weekend.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 3:28 PM

Bxgirl...I'm pretty sure he'll be fine...I think now it might be a matter of finding the right food for him that won't irritate his poor tummy. I cooked him some plain chicken and white rice, but he refused to eat it. Now he's just eating dry kibble that i soak first in warm water to make it soft. He really likes it. I think the wet food I gave him occasionally might be the culprit, but I'm waiting for the poo test to come back before I try switching up his food anymore.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:29 PM

Snark, that is hilarious. I was on the High Line the other day and saw a guy changing in front of his window and, just to get a reaction, started saying things within earshot of passersby such as, "I CANNOT believe those two are having sex with the drapes open!!" while staring at that very hotel. Some people almost got whiplash from swinging around their heads and looking up.

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 3:29 PM

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:31 PM

does anyone have a cheapy video camera i could borrow this weekend? it's for my sister's surprise birthday party. im super responsible with electronic items, tho id rather not borrow anything too expensive or high end. do they still make those disposable video cameras?

*rob*

Posted by: PitbullNYC at August 24, 2009 3:31 PM

ha ha ha. I think Biff and CGar saw the same guy changing.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 3:32 PM

Rob, yes, you can pick up a disposable on at Rite Aid. Also, I bought my nephew a video camera like 2 or 3 weeks ago at Target. Polaroid brand...it was $60 plus I bought a 4gb SDHC memory card for $20 to go with it so it would record several hours of video. He loves it and says it works very well.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:35 PM

mid afternoon slump hitting hard.

snappy, do you feed the cat plain rice and chicken? maybe add a little salt or soy sauce? my dog won't eat plain rice or chicken either, but gobbles up salty food. or maybe mixing in some rice with his kibble mix?

Posted by: CG_ups at August 24, 2009 3:39 PM

CG...I was wary of adding anything to it due to his weak tummy. Maybe a pinch of salt wouldn't hurt him though? I'm not sure. I've never had a kitty with tummy troubles.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:40 PM

"Yeah a big one too. I cleaned it all out..."
um, do I dare a re-write. Naaaaah, it's pretty good on it's own.

I love the high line. There's always something interesting to see in NYC.
Should there be a PLUSA outing to the highline?

Posted by: Return of bayridgegirl at August 24, 2009 3:40 PM

OMG!!! Too cute! I love it. His paws do look a smidge large! Hopefully he'll grow into them :) And I love the name Grimely...awesome.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:41 PM

I think a PLUSA Highline outing would be awesome. Will everyone be bringing a flask? :-)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:42 PM

snappy, i wouldn't worry about a little salt. having a beagle that eats anything, i'm very familiar with this sort of problem. bland food is good, some salt is fine, enough to get the little one to eat. also good, the salt makes them drink more water, which they need to do when tummy troubles hit.

Posted by: CG_ups at August 24, 2009 3:43 PM

DIBS, amzi was telling me during the tour that the limestone house opposite the park on stuy Ave sold for 580k or so (massive discount vs. the 849k initial ask or the 799k when it was last yanked from corco site). compared to that price (if it's representative of stuy height prices), that HOTD price is super high

Posted by: more4less at August 24, 2009 3:43 PM

Maybe I'll add some salt to the chicken and give it to him for dinner. Fingers crossed that he likes it! If not, I'll just add some garlic and give it to Pia :-)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:45 PM

CG...do you think Kosher salt is ok? I'd obviously use less since the crystals are so large, but I just realized I actually don't even have regular salt.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:46 PM

i think kosher salt would be fine! i know it's stressful when the furbabies get sick, but don't worry! he'll be ok. :)

Posted by: CG_ups at August 24, 2009 3:49 PM

Snaps- i noticed that whenever I give my guys canned food, Moose has stomach problems. some brands not so bad but i will never give him 9 lives ever again. Ever.

Posted by: bxgrl at August 24, 2009 3:49 PM

It's porn in the park!

Maybe we should have a PLUSA party in the hotel above the High Line. Nothing would horrify parents and little kids more than seeing a bunch of pathetic losers in a hotel room standing around drinking and talking.

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 3:50 PM

Snaps- he will. He survived living here, he can survive chicken and rice :-)

Posted by: bxgrl at August 24, 2009 3:53 PM

LOL Biff!

Thanks, CG. Kosher salt it is then!

Bxgirl, since reading the ingredients on things like 9 Lives, I refuse to buy it. It's all hooves, eyeballs, toenails, etc. and no actual meat. Gross.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:53 PM

Rofl bxgirl! I can't wait to set him free with Pia so he can have a kitty to play with again. I think he misses having other felines to romp with.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at August 24, 2009 3:54 PM

rob - there is something called a flip video camera that you can buy at most electronic stores. they have some reasonably priced around $120 and you don't need any additional cards or anything. i think it stores the video directly onto the camera, and it comes with a usb plug so you can easily transfer it to your computer. are you going to go goth for the party?

DIBS, just sent pix AND a video clip. Make sure you're sitting down when you open them.

Posted by: brighton beoch at August 24, 2009 4:42 PM

Snappy, did you do anything funky with Snappy Part Deux's hair? I wanna see pics!

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 4:43 PM

Our esteemed treasurer has claimed there is still no dues check from you. If we are in error, please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we may rectify the error.

IF, however, the error is yours.....it'll be a COLD DAY IN HELL before you get one of my magnificent tiaras!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for your inquiry. We look forward to hearing from you :-)

Very truly yours,

Posted by: brickoven at August 24, 2009 4:48 PM

Etson, that's pretty funny.

Posted by: Kensingtonian at August 24, 2009 4:49 PM

You mean you didn't get my check yet, Bxgrl [batting eyes]?

Posted by: brighton beoch at August 24, 2009 4:52 PM

Oh no you don't, BB. I use that trick myself. Besides, your check is to go to our esteemed treasurer. Hmmmm... are you saying you sent a check and -GASP!.....our esteemed treasurer had embezzled the funds?

Posted by: bxgrl at August 24, 2009 4:58 PM

Heh, etson, I saw that too.

And I guess this is where I tell my embarrassing story about the time I went into a restaurant in Nice at 4pm and asked them if I could have a "little bit of lunch". I don't really know French. I asked for a "petit dejeuner"

The waiter rolled his eyes and looked at me like the babbling idiot I was.

GS is down $0.93. Not sure what you're talking about

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 5:01 PM

In Mexico I kept telling everyone I was pregnant - I thought I was saying I was embarassed.

Posted by: Arkady at August 24, 2009 5:04 PM

dave the media is going to lynch em.

Posted by: brickoven at August 24, 2009 5:04 PM

Over the bonuses???? Who cares. The media and the man on the street don't own GS stock and if they do, are NOT going to sell it in protest.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 5:06 PM

Arkady, I tried like hell to get pregnant in mexico.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at August 24, 2009 5:09 PM

When I moved here, I didn't find too many people to whom I could speak Canadian.

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 5:09 PM

Bxgrl, Sound VERY suspicious. I suggest that you launch an investigation immediately. In the meantime, pleeeeze send me my tiara. I promise to return it if it turns out I didn't send in my check [batting eyes].

Posted by: brighton beoch at August 24, 2009 5:09 PM

Dibs - Yeah, there'd have had to be a star in the east for me, too.

Posted by: Arkady at August 24, 2009 5:11 PM

Biff, there's a ton of canadians here at my work place. Everytime they say "about", I think in my head "yep, he's canadian"

Posted by: more4less at August 24, 2009 5:14 PM

M4L, I imagine it's in this context:

"Hey M4L, it's aboot time we go for a few wobbly pops, eh?"

Posted by: Biff Champion at August 24, 2009 5:17 PM

Attention all you cat people! Attention, please! Now on Monday Blogwrap, "Affectionate Kitten Needs a Home". (Bet I'd get out of the corner if I adopted it, I mean her.)

I've heard "pop" from friends in Montreal (and friends in Michigan), but never "wobbly pops". Alcoholic beverages, I trust?

Posted by: CarrollGardened at August 24, 2009 5:25 PM

Biff, they've dropped many of the canadian terms like pops, etc (since they've been here for 10+yrs) but not the accent. good guys and these can drink - they held up well against the visiting irish office crew

Hiya Jackoffs!

Lets see...

You have jackoffseff spewing Covert Race/Class Warfare and "The What" baiting claptrap and no one 'cept Bxgrl put him on blast! The kind of crap since jackoffseff cane onboard is disgusting. I believe some of the Retards agree with him!

Clinton Hill Day was Saturday and no mention on the Blog! This event happen was at P.S. 11 a few Blocks when the Jerkoff known as Brownstoner lives but he can repost things going on in Cobble hill, Redhook, Greenpoint and Williamsburg but not down the street from him!

Last but not lease you are in the middle of The What's Fall meltdown (I haven't forgot).

Thanks for proving me right about your Covert Racism now go suck Obama's nuts...

The What

Someday this war is gonna end..

Dude, you're always melting down.

Like a Mister Softee cone on a sultry summer day.

Or a Good Humor bar.

With nuts.

And very little humor.

What...Obama's on Martha's Vineyard. I was just listening to what their reading list was. You never gave us your reading list when you went away.
