Activity at the Finger (Albero)

finger-building-080509.jpg
Poor, poor 144 North 8th Street. Name changes, ownership changes, foreclosure, abandonment—it's enough to give a building an identity complex. Curbed reports that the former Finger building, now called the Albero, will get a boost of self-esteem, since construction seems to have begun anew. The new owner, GFI, is reportedly more neighborhood-friendly, and perhaps—yes, we've said this before—the building will finally, you know, get built. GMAP
