Closing Bell: Dick Zigun on City's Coney Plan

Coney Island's unofficial mayor Dick Zigun weighs in on the city's plan for the seaside area. Basically, he doesn't like the idea of large hotels taking up space on the south side of Surf Avenue that could be used for amusements; he also thinks the plan could lead to the destruction of some of the area's most loved landmarks.

Wonderful.

This states pretty succinctly what the issues are and what can be done to resolve them.

I will be making some calls and sending some emails.

Coney Island is a landmark and needs to be treated as such.

If you want to help save Coney Island, PLEASE CALL your City Council member TODAY. The City Council voteon the Coney Island rezoning is this month!

Call their LEGISLATIVE OFFICE number first. Try calling during the workday.
