Good morning, PLUSAs.
The Awaye Realty thread kept on going over the weekend. More interesting information was revealed:

Biff, good heads up. I'll check it out now
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 9:26 AM
The "appraiser" doesn't sound too intelligent from her rambling. Furthermore, how can she come to a conclusion about what the house is worth without having been inside and without having done the comps for the neighborhood. What a farce.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 9:32 AM
That Ripoff link is amazing!
Posted by: Arkady at July 13, 2009 9:36 AM
Biff, thanks for the heads up. Post was awesome! Who ever this EdNorton guy is, he should be invited into the OT and given a PLUSA membership immediately. I think he passed the initiation with that detective work.
If someone sees him around, as DIBS puts it "invite him to the dark side".

ha. so i never made it to coco island this weekend like i had planned and wound up hanging out at the south street seaport instead. (wtf!?). i wanted to go on one of those boat tours but they were insanely expensive, so i decided to go on the staten island ferry. going to staten island was fine and very enjoyable, but then omg on the way back with the throngs of people from staten island coming into manhattan.. gack! it was like all the staten island stereotypes were true x 100. hahahha. an obese woman with pink hair slapped her kid on the deck! (maybe it was her little brother, i have no idea).

Amusing Barbara Corcoran article from last week:

And yes, I do read Women's Wear Daily obsessively ;-)

Re: Awaye
It continues to amaze me what people think they can get away with in the digital age. Whether a shady broker or amorous governor, people are just not cognizant of the little electronic breadcrumbs they are dropping as they go. If you want to go undetected at whatever you are doing, you've got to get a bit further off the grid to do it. Whatever gain Awaye thought it might have by co-opting the fsbo posting, it has suffered a far greater harm to its credibility due to the exposure of its shenanigans.

if idiots thought things through, they wouldn't be labeled idiots. Idiots don't think before acting / deciding on something

DIBS - Checked out early on Friday, but saw your follow up on the Awaye Realty thread. I'm at 485 Lex, between 46-47. Your description is dead on, so the lunatic you described has to be the guy we call "Purple Leggings Guy". He's always on a SE corner, but sometimes we see him as far up as 45th.
Posted by: CarrollGardened at July 13, 2009 10:11 AM
Carroll...I've said hello to him a number of times and as long as he hasn't started into the full blown raving, he's rather polite (kinda like the What here). :)
I'd love to try and have a conversation with him some day.
I used to live at the corner of 54 & Lex and there's an asian guy who appears to be homeless around that area but actually is not. He packs up his signs and leaves in the evenings. he has a cell phone and my doorman told me once that he sees him order Chinese food and get it delivered to his corner!!!!! Only in NYC!!!!
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 10:14 AM
DIBS - I've never seen him when he isn't raving at anyone and everyone, and often madly shaking his cane skyward, and he calls one of my colleagues names which I won't repeat here. He is my visual for the What when the What reaches his breaking point and gets really mad.

Attention PLUSAs:
Anyone else wanting to join a few of us at Barrio Chino for dinner and drinks on Wednesday evening, please email me at BKjester3@aol.com (ROB, that includes you!!).
Those of you who confirmed already, expect an email from me later on today or tomorrow to reconfirm and maybe switch venue depending on amount of people that are interested.
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 10:24 AM
He arrives artound 7:30 - 7:40 in the morning and he's pretty quite until he gets positioned on that corner. my colleague has told me that she's heard some reaaly bad stuff out of his mouth.
He reminds me a little bit of Anthony Bourdain!!!!
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 10:25 AM
he turns up that early? I'm glad to see his imaginary job hasn't been affected by the recession.
Posted by: dittoburg at July 13, 2009 11:03 AM
You know him too, ditto???

Hey M4L - sorry again for the late cancellation. The parents dropped in for lunch saturday and to **gasp** look at apartments in williamsburg.
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 11:50 AM
Your parents are hipsters as well?
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 11:52 AM
DH, your parents are considering moving from Strong Island to your hood? if so, is that increased proximity a blessing?
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 11:56 AM
Haha Kens - I guess so! I don't know how it went though - We got hammered at Diner beforehand. Dealing with real estate brokers drunk is never a good idea.
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 11:57 AM
Yeah M4L - They recently decided to sell their house out on the Island - so they are either going to buy a 2 bedroom somewhere in Manhattan/Brooklyn or rent and buy something cash in another state.
I think the neighborhood is big enough that if they were to move to williamsburg it wouldn't change my lifestyle too much (hopefully)
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 11:59 AM
THL!
I saw that - oy oy oy vey! and you can buy the apt with all the furnishings in it! - whatta bahhhgain!
anyway - wonder why she's selling? also i was surprised she lived in that nabe to begin with. I never think of 1st avenue and 60th street as being particularly "Tony", you know?
Posted by: gemini10 at July 13, 2009 12:06 PM
DH, tell you parents to rent - especially if they want to be in williamsburg. buy later
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 12:12 PM
what month will prices bottom, m4l???? :)
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 12:15 PM
DIBS, my answer remains "when prices increase then buy cause the bottom would've just passed". I don't predict when bottom appears but rather interpret actual data on when a bottom has just passed
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 12:23 PM
What I honestly think. During the show she said she wanted a change, that she'd always like traditional but now she wanted to be modern so it was either move or redecorate.
I think she did all of the redecorating as a big real estate promotion so she could sell it.
It's also up in the air as to whether she'd coming back next season as she's demanding too much money. Bravo is currently holding auditions.
She thinks she's a STAR now.
"...But the same can't be said for Jill Zarin and Ramona Singer. These two are reportedly holding out for a raise, as insiders say they see themselves as the actual stars of the show. Bravo put out that press release saying they're casting for new housewives because Jill and Ramona are playing hardball," said a source."
Buh-Bye and take your're tasteless gay husband with you.
Disclaimer: I wasn't calling her hubby gay. She refers to Brad the man responsible for the vomitacious interior design of her apt. her "Gay Husband". Her actual husband Bobby is a saint.
Posted by: TownhouseLady at July 13, 2009 12:29 PM
Yeah M4L - I gave them the whole lowdown and how renting would be better right now. They have been pretty savvy over the years with their real estate, but aren't too familiar with the nyc market right now.
They are more concerned with buying new construction and having it go half rental then buying and having the price fall.
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 12:31 PM
"Bravo put out that press release saying they're casting for new housewives because Jill and Ramona are playing hardball," said a source."
How hard can it be to find a few bimbo, big-haird, tasteless housewives in New Jersey??? :)
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 12:40 PM
DIBS, that was the NYC version
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 12:44 PM
Uh Dave, that's New York, and I'm assuming not hard at all.
Posted by: TownhouseLady at July 13, 2009 12:49 PM

partially cloudy here in lovely NJ and not even an eye candy car in the parking lot
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 1:27 PM
:( m4l
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 1:29 PM
Where-ish in NJ are you? I've had nothing but sun and was going out back to tend to the garden in a little bit.
Posted by: TownhouseLady at July 13, 2009 1:31 PM
are you into cars, m4l??? Just new ones???
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 1:32 PM
THL, I have grape tomatoes that re-seed themselves every year in Philly. I just brought 2 plants up. I'll be doing some gardening this evening.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 1:37 PM
THL,
it's more sunny than cloudy but there's a ton of clouds where I'm at (Florham Park).
DIBS,
not a big car guy but can appreciate a good looking car (old or new) - especially when there's little to no eye candy at the office.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 1:40 PM
Grape tomatoes are my favorite.
I have some SERIOUS weeding to do.
The momma cat has had her kittens in the back of my garden under the plants so I've been hesitant to disturb her.
Well, Now the youngin's are pretty used to me (the food source!) so I'm going to go to town out there. It's long overdue.
Posted by: TownhouseLady at July 13, 2009 1:41 PM
NO eye candy on this whole floor, m4l. However, there is a really hot buff Asian guy a few floors below at JWT.
In Manhattan though all you have to do is step out the door and there'll always be eye candy, especially all the delivery boys!!!!!!
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 1:42 PM
O.k., have a good one guys. Don't fall asleep at the keyboard.
Posted by: TownhouseLady at July 13, 2009 1:49 PM
I'm stuck with you asshats for a little white longer...
Oh Dave - your pizza place in Bed Stuy made this new list of top 20 pizza joints in the city
http://nymag.com/restaurants/cheapeats/2009/57893/
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 1:51 PM
DIBS, I've gotta see you in action. What lines you use on the delivery boys? How you close,.....
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 1:51 PM
dh...WOW, 15th best in the City!!!! They are very, very good.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 1:55 PM
Trade secrets, m4l. If I told you, your wife would kill you!!!! LOL
Actually it's not in the lines, its in the eyes!!!!
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 1:57 PM
DH, you been to that one in williamsburg? think that's closer to me than Sarahina's
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 1:58 PM
I sent Mr. B a pic of Saraghina this morning. He'll use it on Streetlevel, I guess. Chicco has also begun to expand the menu beyond pizza. Last week he had 2 pastas and 2 fish. He has takeout (take away for you Asians & brits) now.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 2:03 PM
Motorino? Yeah it's really good. Just really expensive, 13 bucks gets you a personal pizza.
They are in the process of taking over the space of the #2 place (Una Pizza Napoletana)
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 2:05 PM
that sounds about the same price as Sarahina or I think. why "settle" for #15 when #9 is closer
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 2:08 PM
Lucali in CG didn't make the list - but it's just as good (if not better) then most of the places on the list
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 2:12 PM
$10-15 per pizza and they are large enough for 2 people, not some 8" or 12" things.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 2:13 PM
"$10-15 per pizza and they are large enough for 2 people, not some 8" or 12" things."
DIBS, are you saying 12" isn't large enough for you?
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 2:16 PM
haha biff
yeah i'm not saying it's a great value. but hey, people stand in line at difara for 5 dollar slices. if i can get quality delivered to by apt for 13 bucks by a cute delivery girl i'm down!
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 2:19 PM
these "best of..." lists are such bullsh*t. as if they really ate at every pizza joint in the city.
dave, do you know if Saraghina delivers?
Posted by: Return of Randolph at July 13, 2009 2:21 PM
DIBS, are you saying 12" isn't large enough for you?
Well, when it isn't I'm certainly not looking towards Canada for fullfilment!!!!
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 2:23 PM
No, they don't deliver, randi.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 2:24 PM
the best pizza is just homemade pizza. english muffin, ragu, a slice of cheese, and cumin.
*rob*
Posted by: PitbullNYC at July 13, 2009 2:28 PM
"these "best of..." lists are such bullsh*t. as if they really ate at every pizza joint in the city."
Always bullshit. Just thought it was interesting Sarahina got some props because it's pretty under the radar.
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 2:29 PM
Does anyone know if Una Pizza Napoletana is still open? I think I want to go there today to try before it closes or am I too late?
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 2:32 PM
"12" isn't large enough for you?"
size does matter dave.
Posted by: Return of Randolph at July 13, 2009 2:32 PM
DH, we should consider going to Saraghina for Pizza after we our meet up at my rental. from google map, it looks like ~12 blks away so a brisk walk or super quick drive in my car.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 2:36 PM
Yeah M4L - That sounds like a plan. The parents won't be dropping in for any fancy brunch for a while.
Lemme know if this weekend is good for you - the maid is coming by Saturday afternoon and I typically like to vacate (how boogie did that sound? haha)
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 2:42 PM
DH, even if your parents drop by BK, they're welcome to join us.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 2:46 PM
DH, I thought you have to have a million plus apartment to have a maid? Wasn't that the standard these days?
Maid in a rental? You total poseur you!

DH, even if your parents drop by BK, they're welcome to join us.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 2:46 PM
M4L, do you really want to hang out with 45+ year old hipsters?
[sorry, couldn't resists]
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 2:48 PM
If you go to Saraghina, you should stop by my place for a drink. One block away.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 2:49 PM
Hahah Kens - don't tell anyone and blow up my spot!
Cool M4L - I have a funny story about my parents drunken dealings with the people at NSP - but I don't think i should get into it here!! haha

Rather appalling comments over the weekend on Queen Latifah's appearance in Ditmas Park:
http://ditmaspark.blogspot.com/2009/07/hip-hop-celebrity-on-beverley.html
30 comments on the Ditmas Park blog is the equivalent of 200 here.

Kens, when you get married and is NOT wearing the pants, you'll welcome maid svc. I was pretty happy when the wife suggested maid svc - less cleaning around the house for me.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 3:09 PM
Rob, LOL at the female What reference. Those 2 should get a room!

DIBS, DH will be dropping by my rental during the weekend. We love to stop by your place if you're not in Philly
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 3:10 PM
Biff and Dave, we'll have to switch the locale cause Barrio Chino is just too tiny for 6 (potentially more) folks. Any other suggestions in Brooklyn or Mahnattan that you wanted to check out or willing to go to on Wed?
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 3:13 PM
Yes, Eloise is a real winner on the DP Blog, and so is no_slappz, our resident hater of all things African-American (s/he's not really in full force on the Latifah thread, but will turn almost anything into a discussion of race).
Posted by: sixyearsandcounting at July 13, 2009 3:14 PM
All you cretins should go take a look at the remarkably genteel brooklynheightsblog.com. Maybe you pencil necked geeks can learn a thing or two about manners (if you can somehow manage to stay awake).

Omg that Ditmas blog is nutso
ugh - that mixed kid hair comment is a bit much
I wonder if Black folks really do feel that way about mixed kids hair(when the mom is white)and just lets it go "free"
all my sister in laws ( I have 5) are always joking with me about how will I be able to take care of our kids hair.
Posted by: gemini10 at July 13, 2009 3:19 PM
Speaking of kids hair, I find kids with the thick big Fro's super super adorable - especially on a cute little girl.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 3:24 PM
I just saw the Ditmas blog. That Eloise sounds like a cartoon character and can't be real. Then again, one can say the same thing about most of us here.
So my daily NY drug store whinge:
Went to CVS Friday after work. Woman at the cash is eating those bar-b-q Frito curls while talking to her co-worker (who of course didn't open her own register as the line was only 10 people deep). After polishing off the bag, she eventually acknowledges my existence, but before doing anything else, proceeds to lick each finger clean before ringing up a few packs of gum I was buying. WTF??
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 3:26 PM
pardon my ignorance, but how is black people hair anymore hard to take care of than white people hair? granted, letting it just grow without doing much to it will give youa different look but that woman is making it sound like it's bordering on child abuse. wtf? ive seen biracial kids hair where it's just left to grow naturally and it always looks cute (ugh i cant believe i just said kids look cute. that is SO not me), i dont know, i just found it very strange. i never comb or brush my hair, i dont even think it's possible, if it let it grow it would probably be white person fro-ey but it wouldnt be unhealthy, isnt that the same for black people's hair? unless im totally missing something, like i said, pardon my ignorance.
*rob*
Posted by: PitbullNYC at July 13, 2009 3:26 PM
The Ditmas Park blog has actually calmed down quite a bit since its early days of unmoderated comments. Aside from a few trolls, nobody says anything exciting anymore. For those of you with time on your hands, I give you the infamous Pomme de Terre covert race/class stroller warfare thread:
http://ditmaspark.blogspot.com/2008/03/pomme-de-terre-first-look.html
I bet *that* never happened on the Brooklyn Heights blog, Biff!

Biff - was that the CVS on 9th street in PS?
you knowwwwwwww how I feel about that bunch of girls behind the counter there!
Rob - I think hair in the black community conjures up a lot of feelings and I don;t think I should relay those feelings - better left to someone who is black
but I know that if I too didn't put any gel or conditioner in my hair it would be a frizz bomb.
Posted by: gemini10 at July 13, 2009 3:30 PM
"I find kids with the thick big Fro's super super adorable - especially on a cute little girl."
Afros in general are hot.

Is that Beer Garden in Fort Greene open yet?
Might be good to hit up on Wednesday to give them a friendly brownstoner welcome.
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 3:32 PM
"Biff - was that the CVS on 9th street in PS?"
G10, nope, the one on Henry by Love Lane in Brooklyn Heights. I find most of the stores (including Rite Aid, Duane Reade, etc.) the same in terms of "service", attitude, etc. We've all spoken about this before and, while I agree we shouldn't expect the world given the kind of wages these jobs pay, I don't think I should expect someone getting Frito juice all over my stuff.
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 3:34 PM
When the little black girls from next door come to swim in my pool they always sympathize with me that I have hair that looks so bedraggled when wet while theirs pops right back up & looks cute.
Posted by: Arkady at July 13, 2009 3:37 PM
Biff, the CVS on Court in Cobbler's hood and that Rite Aid on Court next to Atlantic are pretty friendly - especially that CVS one.
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 3:38 PM
Biff - I agree 100%
and I know these guys aren't making that much money per hour, but it's called basic human decency with a touch of common sense.
no one pays me to be nice to folks - I just am! - same can go for the bratty girl behind the counter who actually IS being paid to be nice to customers
Posted by: gemini10 at July 13, 2009 3:38 PM
strangely ive never encountered attitude from a cashier, ever! are you SURE youre not already giving them the stink eye when youre in line biff?

"strangely ive never encountered attitude from a cashier, ever! are you SURE youre not already giving them the stink eye when youre in line biff?"
I've been on both sides - I treat them now how I would like to be treated. It's amazing what a hello and a fake smile will do. Small talk is good sometimes too.

"ugh - that mixed kid hair comment is a bit much"
That ranting and raving Eloise woman was objecting to inter-racial couples period, you don't even need to go as far as hair. I'm not sure she should be living in NYC, its only going to get worse for her.

actually i doubt that's even possible, im sure it's happened. but ive dealth with far more ruder and nastier clients at work than i have cashiers... of course youre going to run into the occassional crank cashier or incompetent one, but cranks and incompetent people need jobs too i guess.

Posted by: dittoburg at July 13, 2009 3:58 PM
DIBS, he looks like he's just about to jump in the Rio Grande and swim across. All for love.
Posted by: dittoburg at July 13, 2009 4:01 PM
DH, I thought you cut out on booze. Did you decide that that's not the way to live life and going back to the old you?
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 4:02 PM
Loving v. Virginia = most appropriate name of any Supreme Court case ever

Hahaha Kens - my parents actually broke my laying low string this weekend. boy - they can drink!!
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 4:05 PM
Kens, I can't believe you might change venues to some place in BK. I cancelled my hard to get dentist appointment thinking I would just stay in Manhattan after work! And I was so looking forward to having Svetlana polish me up.
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 4:09 PM
DIBS, what is the urinal etiquette for gays? I do the hetero thing whenever someone is next to me and stare at the wall straight ahead of me if someone is at the next spot. I do this even at work when a colleague might be next to me. I just ignore him. But I think I noticed via peripheral vision someone looking over during the last Yankees game I was at (must have been a Met fan...KIDDING).
Do you ever try to sneak a peak at the guy's junk next to you?
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 4:11 PM
Let's try the new beer garden...
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 4:11 PM
Manhattan isn't out Biff - just letting you guys know venue is up in the air.
DH the walking bar guide will not steer us wrong if we stay in manhattan.
Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 4:12 PM
Biff - Be honest: that's not why you cancelled the D-word appt.
Posted by: Arkady at July 13, 2009 4:14 PM
Depends upon what he looks like, Biff, and what the venue is.
I've never heard of it referred to as "junk" before.
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 4:15 PM
Biff, I would have said no thanks. I worked in retail for years I can allow lots of slack to cashiers but that was unsanitary to say the least. @ lord and taylor around november last year and sales clerk spent whole chatting with a prospective hook-up instead of taking my money, I left the goods on the counter.

Posted by: PitbullNYC at July 13, 2009 4:17 PM
Arkady, it really is the reason. I don't have a fear of dentists: I've been quite fortunate over the years and had very clean check-ups, so every visit is just a cleaning.
As for my trips to my gastroenterologist; that's a completely different story and I would use any excuse to avoid him!
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 4:18 PM
"Biff, I would have said no thanks."
DeLepp, are you responding to my post on CVS or my post regarding what to do when someone looks over at you from the next urinal? :-)
I still can't believe in this economy some stores make it so difficult for one to buy things from them. I suppose that's what happens when the employees feel they have little stake in the financial results of the Company.
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 4:21 PM
Biff, don't know what that is but that specialist sounds like a painful visit and somehow suspect I'm due for such visits given how old I am currently
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 4:22 PM
Biff, CVS, urinal scene "jealous".
Posted by: DeLepp at July 13, 2009 4:25 PM
DH, that cardboard wars thing is awesome! If Joel Klein will be my opponent, I'll sign up immediately.
Posted by: sixyearsandcounting at July 13, 2009 4:27 PM

Posted by: dirty_hipster at July 13, 2009 4:29 PM

rob, maybe meet up with some guy at a urinal and you'll be less cranky
Posted by: daveinbedstuy at July 13, 2009 4:36 PM
O.k. so I just did all the weeding in the garden and I have to tell you the cutest thing.
As I'm pulling out the weeds and tossing them into the general pile in the middle. One of the little kittens was leaping through the air trying to catch the clumps.
Then she'd duck back down behind the pile all wide eyed waiting for the next one to come launching her way.
She was so adorable it took me twice as long as it should have.

ThL - Where are the pix?
Posted by: Arkady at July 13, 2009 4:43 PM
I was covered in "skankiness" so I didn't have the camera out. It was the little gray one Maxine. She quite the brave one of the two. Her sister Zorra just sat hiding behind a elephant ear terrified that I'd invaded their space.

THL, I don't watch The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, but I have a feeling the next Bacherlorette will be Kelly from RHNY. I heard Howard Stern talking about a female friend of his who's done reality TV and whom he thought would draw lots of ratings to the show. He said he called the producer of the Bachelorette and set up a meeting between him and this friend of his. Since Kelly is good friends with Beth O (Howard's wife), I'm pretty sure that's who he's referring to.
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 4:52 PM
M4L, not sure about that. I met Klein at an awards ceremony long ago and he seemed just an inch or two shorter than me. He was moving fast down a receiving line, shaking teachers and students' hands and muttering "hello, how are you" over and over again to nobody in particular. He was utterly disinterested in everyone - he shook people's hands while looking away from them, down the line, as if he wondered how much longer he had to do this.
Posted by: sixyearsandcounting at July 13, 2009 4:52 PM
Let's do the new Beer Garden then, Any place around there for pregame dinner anyone can recommend to meet around 6:30?
Sorry Biffy, I have to look out for all the PLUSAs. We'll make a smaller impromptu to Barrio Chino another time. It's too tiny to fit such a honorary group of PLUSAs (especially with our large Brooklynite egos).
Posted by: Kensingtonian at July 13, 2009 4:57 PM
6yrs, really? I got impression he's a smallish 5' 7 guy
Posted by: more4less at July 13, 2009 4:58 PM
You kinda have to Rob. Yoiu see them every single day so even though they're not technically yours it feels better than calling them that one and the other one.
Oh Biff!! I don't know if I could stomach that. The way she speaks without saying anything cohesive is too much. I'm not the most eloquent person on earth but at least I SAY something.
This is a short little paragraph but it illustrates what I mean:

kens, No 7 is quite good, diagonal from the beer garden on greene.
Posted by: DeLepp at July 13, 2009 5:07 PM
Haha M4L you could be right, he was moving pretty fast after all. Or maybe he was wearing BRG's shoes...
Posted by: sixyearsandcounting at July 13, 2009 5:09 PM
THL, I would bet anything that it's going to be Kelly (or is it Kelli?). Even though I can't stand The Bachelor(ette), I might just have to tune in to watch the car wreck.
Kens, just email me to let me know where and when you're meeting.
Posted by: Biff Champion at July 13, 2009 5:13 PM
I bet you're right Biff. Ughhhhh!
