Development Watch: 218 Myrtle Almost There

When we mentioned the news last month that Jon Catsimatidis' development at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and Ashland Place is slated to open in September, the nine-story building was still shrouded with scaffolding and netting. Most of that is gone now and you can clearly see that all the (rather small) windows are in place and the finishing work is going on inside. Still no word on pricing for the 100 rentals.

This place is a total piece of crap - pre-fab panel siding, pint size windows, shaped like a box. We would have been better off in the long run if Cats just waited until he could get adequate financing for the oringinal design.

I've been hearing rumors that this building is going to be Section 8 housing, is this true?
