Closing Bell: Capital One on Fulton Celebrates Opening

858-Fulton-Street-0709.jpg
Capital One had already begun celebrating the opening of its new branch at 858 Fulton Street when we passed by this morning. This took us by surprise since we reported back in December that the bank had opened. Maybe that was just the ATM section up front. GMAP

this bank was open, they are just trying to drum up business and are having a new 'opening'. but i'm happy the area has a new option.

I'm amazed any banks are opening at all. Are things turning around?

FYI: They also offered free breakfast and lunch yesterday (there was a big line!) and were walking around the neighborhood with big jugs of Iced Tea to give away. It was all the talk on Fulton street at around 11am.

Wow, 11238, I totally missed that.

I'm glad they're there, but they charge $2.75 to use that ATM. If they want more business, they should get rid of that fee.

heather - that fee is to get you to open an account so that you don't have to pay it. other banks actually charge more.
