Expanding at 8 Hunts Lane

We hadn't poked our head down quaint Hunts Lane in Brooklyn Heights for a while so we were interested to see lots of action at this double-wide (or is it triple-wide?) carriage house. Construction is currently proceeding on a rooftop addition that was approved by Landmarks in August 2007 as well as some foundation work. Update: According to the Brooklyn Heights Blog, the neighbors have been filing some quality of life complaints regarding this project.

The construction has been going on for a year or so.
They dug out the basement a for what appeared to be a basement/living space with access to a backyard (which also appeared to be dug out).
So if they are adding a floor on top it would give them 4 floors.
It's been going on forever, a SWO or two, the ConEd/sewer issues... it's been a load of fun...

Gonna be great I'm sure. Too bad this construction has been annoying neighbors for MONTHS (cutting off water, etc). There is other Con Ed work around here too. It's been a long spring and summer for Hunts Lane.
