275 Park Avenue Market Revealed

The awning just went up over the door to the new deli that's supposed to open at the corner of Washington and Park Avenues in Wallabout. The name? Fresh Fanatic. A quick check of the market's website reveals only that its motto is "Edible Love." Promising or scary?

maybe im an aesthetically conservative guy, but when i think of fresh fare, i dont think of an obnoxious assortment of day-glo colors as in this sighn. its like lasers on the eyes.

Anyone else get the feeling this will be operated by the same guy who runs "Larry's Liquid Love" (a bar on Bedford Ave.)? Seriously.

"Edible love"? Well, it is pretty close to the "beauty spa" on park ave.

I don't mind the striped, colorful signage, so much. The problem is the oval thing plastered on top of it. It makes the linear color adventure seem tacky rather than modern. Suggestion: Get rid of the oval entirely and just place stand-alone letters atop the perimeter of the sign.

The signage has been up for a few weeks now. Despite the exterior, they've put a lot of work into the inside and it looks great.
