Development Watch: 330 Clifton Place

For years, this lot at the corner of Clifton Place and Nostrand Avenue was a parking lot; earlier this year, a new building started rising. From the size of it, we were expecting six units or so, but it turns out that it's only a two-family. GMAP P*Shark DOB

If you're this late 'looking for a chair', then this is how you do it. Brooklyn nesting is on the rise (so far). At least it'll have rental appeal if the buyer-side banks say 'hell no'. Whether the rental market can bear the carrying costs is another matter.

Anybody know what's going on with the renovation of 354 (?) Stuyvesant, the frame house that burned at Christmastime two years ago where renovation has stopped. There are no stop work orders so I assume they just ran out of money. However, i saw a couple and what appeared to be a contractor going in over the weekend. Thise two frame houses could look nice if done correctly. The green one to the left is nice.
