Closing Bell: Daily News' City Map Guide
Another city guide but this one is different. In celebration of the NY Daily News' 90th birthday, they asked 90 celebrities (and the News' top writers) to name their favorite places in the city. Places and spots in Brooklyn got a mention from a few (and rightly so). Like actor Adrian Grenier loves Habana Outpost in Fort Greene and Sharon Carpenter, a BET anchor, loves Luz in Clinton Hill. Even Mayor Bloomberg's favorite spot, it turns out, is in Brooklyn—Nathan's in Coney Island.

unofficial Brownstoner poll: What's everyone else's favorite spot in the 5 boros?

To a real Brooklynite, or even a real New Yorker (I think there's soem of those left..) Brennan & Carr SHOULD be more note-worthy than Nathan's but I guess a carpetbagger from Boston only knows about Brooklyn from what he sees on TV.

LOL DH! It's like he just said the name of the first place he could think of that is affordable for his servants.

Yeah no kidding - Lots of them it seems just picked the most "authentic" thing they could think of so they wouldn't seem so detached.

David Wright, NY Mets
"For pure peacefulness and just to collect your thoughts, I like just kind of roaming around Gramercy Park to relax a little bit. I like to just walk around and people watch and just kind of hang out."
Private , elite park with restricted access. Thank you David Wright for your HONEST answer about real Celebrity/Politician/Corporatista NY not this fake B.S. about billionaires going to Coney on the Q train.

Haha @ Gramercy Park - didn't notice that one. As you said, at least he's keeping it real!

Can we start calling the northern part of Gramercy Park "NoMercy?"
