Flip it good! The seller of this listing at 90 Prospect Park West just bought the ground-floor three-bedroom last summer for $1,250,000 and now has it back on the market for $1,300,000. (You can see the original HOTD post here.) Greed certainly isn't driving the move since this will be a losing trade after broker fees even if the asking price is achieved. In addition to some sick woodwork, the apartment has a very low monthly maintenance of $725.

Why do I get a pop up that says "Please enter a number" after I've entered a number and hit "submit" on the price widget?

Wait... the monthly payment on this place is only around $7200. I don't understand? Why would they be selling?

Mr. B, I thought you were going to fix the over-bidding mechanism. Clearly, the crazy over-bidder is still very active. I mean, 1.820 for this apt, when it sold for 1.250 last summer? Someone just wants to skew the numbers in a desperate (and silly) bid to prop up the average valuation.

NO, christopher, silly (or worse) web designer for not being able to parse out the punctuation (which would take a competent programmer about 10 mins of work; it's actually about 2 lines of code.)

Unfortunately this is very common; note all those websites where you HAVE to put in a tel# as all numbers (and those where you HAVE to put in the dashes.) I usually send a nasty note to them.

those particular pictures make the place look dark, uncomfortable and generally claustrophobic.

has a cave feel to it. think you'd be constantly standing with your back against a wall to let another person pass.

overbearing wood work doesn't help. so gloomy. so granny.

May be bad photos but the apartment looks dark and unwelcoming. Facing the park isn't that big of a deal when you are on the first floor. Washer / dryer behind the toilet made me laugh..

I agree about the dark feeling of the apartment. But I'm not one for all that heavy woodwork - I find it oppressive, with an Adams family vibe.

Something tells me the kitchen was originally at the back of the apt., and much larger. Regardless, this is a much more modern, and private, set up.

I'd say the buyers got a deal last year, but now they'll be lucky to get 10% below that. Obviously, it's a distress sale. I feel bad for them because I'm sure a job loss is behind it...

Why do some posters insist on comparing apts. to houses? That's like saying, why pay 75 cents for this apple when you can have an orange for the same price? Sheesh.

Still pretty low for a place this size, but the listing says "Maintenance/CC: $825."
