$500-$750K Range: SUNSET PARK
341 58th Street; Price=$695,000 GMAP
This 2-family was first listed for $769,000 last April, according to StreetEasy. Entered into contract on 8/11/08; closed on 11/22/08; deed recorded on 5/20/09.
$750K-$1 Million Range: WILLIAMSBURG
1 Northside Piers, Unit 3G; Price=$860,421 GMAP
A 1,248-sf, 3-bedroom condo in the Toll Brothers development, says StreetEasy. It originally hit the market in May 2007, asking $1,075,990. Entered into contract on 3/30/09; closed on 5/15/09; deed recorded on 5/22/09.

Hawthorne spot looks like it's in a good location, and price seems right. Any PLG peeps have anymore info about that particular area/block?

t's a pretty nice block, but I don't know much about the co-op market in my neighborhood (or, in general). The BEST intro to the area would be to go on the house tour, this Sunday, but, BE WARNED--I went on the 1974 PLG HT and am still here [NO, I wasn't kidnapped--just fell in love with the neighborhood:-)].

Thanks Bob - I haven't explored PLG that much but must do so soon, especially if co-ops could be had in a good nabe for 99k.
