Streetlevel: Day Care Coming to 156 Gates Avenue

The storefront at 156 Gates Avenue at Downing Street has sat empty since Gates Avenue Video closed last September. Now, we hear, it's going to be reborn as a childcare center. A reader spoke to one of the contractors recently.

isn't there a daycare center right next to broken angel? anyway, this reminds me, is the storefront across the street still vacant? it's been empty foreva.

Yes, PAL Quincy is on Quincy St. However, they only take low-income families.
