Columbia Street Salt Pile Update
After a giant salt pile on the Columbia Waterfront blanketed the neighborhood in a coat of white film, elected officials promised to water it down and cover it up. The Brooklyn Paper reported that the salt pile was 30 percent covered by Tuesday night; and yesterday afternoon, the Columbia Waterfront Neighborhood Association snapped this pic of the pile, estimate that it's now about 3/4 covered. The salt pile drew widespread attention as the subject of a Times article last weekend. Any dramatic tales of salt coverage from readers?
