Cherry Blossoms haven't really popped yet, they look better a little green and not ripe.

Posted by: Putnam junk yards at April 13, 2009 9:30 AM

Putnam...I was in Philly over the weekend. Although the bradford pears are in full bloom and the "smaller-blossomed" species of cherries have already bloomed, the large blossom varieties that we are all so familiar with are just beginning to emerge. They'll likely be in full blossom late next week as long as it warms up and NYC is typically a week or two after Philly.

So I predict the height of the season here will be the weekend of May 7.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 9:34 AM

Sorry, May 1 weekend.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 9:37 AM

WOW....That's my house in the pic for the Wildflower/Bed Stuy thread. I bought it for the architectural detail over the doorway but in seeing it in this light maybe cornerbodega was right and I did overpay in the ghetto. Anybody know where I can find a window on the cheap???

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 9:44 AM

Cherry Blossoms are pretty much done in DC. Though they were almost in full bloom on the way back in NJ and PA.

Posted by: DeLepp at April 13, 2009 9:45 AM

Well, they are not yet in bloom in Philly and Bucks County.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 9:49 AM

If it doesn't warm up soon, prime blossom time may not hit until July! Froze my ass of walking to Ft. Greene yesterday from the Heights. BRRRRRR.......

Posted by: GHB at April 13, 2009 9:56 AM

My camelias bloomed this weekend, like gangbusters!
I like it when city people who know nothing about gardens think that they are roses. Everything else seems to be pking out of the ground and my neighbor's weeping cherry is fully in bloom.

Posted by: sam at April 13, 2009 9:59 AM

Good morning everyone. Since we are talking blooms, can anyone recommend a flowering plant that will survive indoors? All my windows face east and west, west facing windows getting the longest and most direct sunlight.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 9:59 AM

My rhubarb is already a foot high, surprised its doing so well so early.

"Froze my ass of walking to Ft. Greene yesterday from the Heights. BRRRRRR......."

You should have worn your Asshat, it would have kept you warm.

"My rhubarb is already a foot high, surprised its doing so well so early."

DIBS' first sexual comment of the day.
'rhubarb'?? That's what you've named it??????

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 10:05 AM

And I've named my asshole "randolph."

"Speaking of...where has your a**hole been?"

Stupid Question, I know....To Asia and back.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 10:20 AM

Begonias flower nicely indoors - they don't like too much sun. They come in lots of colors & petal configurations.

Posted by: Arkady at April 13, 2009 10:24 AM

Arkady, how long do begonias tend to last indoors? And, what if I put them on a tall shelf where it would get the western light, but not directly?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:28 AM

Snappy, whatever you choose make sure to check-up on it's toxicity factor in case your cat decides to use it for a check toy.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 10:29 AM

Yes, THL, I know - my little furball loves to eat plants! I currently keep all plants on very high shelves that she can't reach. Except for the cat grass :) My friend's cat recently almost died because she got into some flowers for a funeral arrangement. It was a 3 week disaster, but luckily she survived.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:34 AM

Yeesh, I meant chew toy not check toy. Don't know what I was thinking there.

Yeah, it can be really bad. We had a cat that got violently ill from gnawing a Christmas Cactus.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 10:40 AM

Everyone keeps telling me that African Violets are easy, but I can't seem to keep them alive. I've tried about 4 times and they always go kaput.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:43 AM

"Everyone keeps telling me that African Violets are easy,"

Snappy, you're MY African Violet.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 10:47 AM

Awww. It's so nice to be missed.

Posted by: randolph at April 13, 2009 10:47 AM

Awwwwww... BRG, you sweetie petey :)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:48 AM

Hiya Randolph. What's on tap for you today? Can you help me with my flowering plant dilemma?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:49 AM

"Yeesh, I meant chew toy not check toy. Don't know what I was thinking there."

Pay check?! ; ) Or maybe that's just what I'm thinking...ok, back to revising my resume.

Does anyone know any professional resume writers?

Randolph, dear, we need those numbers! You were supposed to come in on the weekend and tally!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 10:52 AM

Cobble, if you find a low priced resume helper, let me know please!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:56 AM

"Awwwwww... BRG, you sweetie petey :)"

Before you get all cutsey on me, you might want to re-read my post.
I basically called you easy ;-)

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 10:56 AM

BRG, you are calling me easy???!!! For shame! There will be a meeting of my harem at 2pm sharp to discuss this matter and vote on sanctioning you.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:58 AM

Cobble, are you looking for work only in your field or have you started looking for 'any' job?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 10:59 AM

"Cobble, are you looking for work only in your field or have you started looking for 'any' job?"

Uhm, I plead the 5th...actually, yes, any damn job with my target salary will do. Ok, I lied, I'll take a 10% or more cut. Actually I'll do anything...well almost anything...for anyone...at anytime...ok, but just within NYC, ok, maybe New Jersey...if I can take public transport to get there.

Translation: I NEED A PAYCHECK!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 11:04 AM

LOL Cobble! I'm feeling the pinch as well. I saw that Century 21 in Bay Ridge is hiring cashiers and I'm about 2 days away from dropping my pride and going down there and applying. Minimum wage is a long ways away from what I used to earn, but in the scheme of things, it's better than $0

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 11:06 AM

"There will be a meeting of my harem at 2pm sharp to discuss this matter and vote on sanctioning you."

Can I be in your harem? More importantly, is there any money to be made in this harem business? I can work on my hip & belly wiggle... ; ) I'm sure I can pull together some concept driven marketing materials exploiting the core values of your organization, on time and under budget! When can we start?!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 11:17 AM

morning everyone
Hope you all had a nice Easter. It's so quiet today

sooo - last night about 7pm, I'm outside on my deck and and spot a huge Raccoon scaling my fence. So I clap my hands and he runs up one of the trees in the backyard
I grew up on LI where seeing raccoons was pretty common, but was surprised to see one in my backyard and at 7pm
Hope he's not rabid!

Posted by: gemini10 at April 13, 2009 11:17 AM

Cobble, there's always room in my harem! Unfortunately, all positions remain unpaid :(

Gemini, I have raccoons that come by my kitchen window at night. One night I called the cops reporting a would-be burglar and that occasion it turned out to be raccoons frolicking! Imagine my surprise.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 11:23 AM

insert - hmm, ok I will chill out then - I was super surprised
the other issue is that there are a few cats that roam amongst all our backyards, so I don;t want the cats to get into a fight with this raccoon :/

Am sorry about all the job hunting going on - I wish you both speedy success!

Posted by: gemini10 at April 13, 2009 11:30 AM

The begonias should blossom almost non-stop for years. I don't think they're toxic to cats - my cats don't even look at them & they're sitting on low shelves while the guys do everything in their power to get at plants that are harmful to them & that are up high & supposedly out of their reach.

I've had poor luck w/ african violets too but begonias have done very well.

Posted by: Arkady at April 13, 2009 11:33 AM

I've seen a raccoon in Bay Ridge several times.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 11:34 AM

Thanks Arkady. I'll be sure to give them a try.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 11:37 AM

Wheee! I'm in a harem! [I can cross that off the old bucket list!] ; )

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 11:53 AM

THL, I wanted to share this with you, you might like it.
Yesterday we had kibbeh with the yogurt. My mother made this nut concotion as an aside to put on it that was delicious, I'm sure it can be used for other things.

Melt butter
Add pinenuts and slivered almonds, roast a little
Add crushed garlic and mint
Stir till nuts are golden brown.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 11:55 AM

Cobble, I'd love to see your bucket list, especially if being in a harem made the cut!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 11:58 AM

Hubby wants a harem.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 12:00 PM

Off the openthread topic, but thought you might like to know that Fresh Direct made a delivery to my house yesterday even though they say they don't deliver to 11233 on their website. I was shocked and e-mailed this morning to confirm that they will deliver to my block (in the Stuyvesant Heights section of Bed Stuy) and that it wasn't an accident. They will and it wasn't. There goes the neighborhood (but I probably will use them on occasion).

Posted by: MacD at April 13, 2009 12:00 PM

MacD...did you ever use the online service for the Super Food Town? How do the two compare???

I won't buy meat, fish, poultry, produce either way but what about the rest??

Food Town was very communicative about what they didn't have and delivery was great exactly when I wanted it. I've only used it twice though.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 12:04 PM

I have used the online service for the Super Food Town (SFT). They were quite good, as you say. My issue is, if I want fresh goat cheese or something a little more fancy, SFT can't match Fresh Direct. I'd even wager that their crabcakes aren't as good as Fresh Direct's (I remember you specifically wanted Butternut's to be "lump" -- and I've been looking for "lump" crabcakes everywhere since you said that and have been very unhappy with the results. Thanks a lot!).

Posted by: MacD at April 13, 2009 12:11 PM

Snappy, I'd show you my bucket list, but then I would have to kill you! ; )

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 12:14 PM

BRG- That sounds delish. I'm going to have to try that sometime.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 12:14 PM

As far as "lump crabcakes," you're not even going to get them at most restaurants!!!

You gotta make them yourself and it's about as easy as making a hamburger pattty!!!

The frozen ones will be cheaper but that's because they aren't lump!!! Hell, they probably aren't mostly crabmeat either but some other throw away fish product in there as well.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 12:16 PM

In truth, Chez Oscar had some a few months ago that were excellent. If you ever see them on the menu there, give 'em a whirl.

Take it easy on me dear, pretty please.

I've been writing/hacking away at this major resume revision since 8:30am this morning. I need to stretch my legs and take a few breaks.

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 12:46 PM

I already gave you a peek Snappy! I told you I wanted to be in a harem! ; )

You'll have to extrapolate from there...although I know that may go against your lawyerly grain! : )

Ha! We lawyers like to extrapolate sometimes...and anything else involving big words...helps us feel important :)

Death of an icon...

ANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Marilyn Chambers, star of such golden age classics as Behind the Green Door and Insatiable, was found dead Sunday in the mobile home where she had been living for the past several months. She was 57. Chambers was found by her daughter, McKenna. No cause of death is yet known, and an autopsy will be performed.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 1:31 PM

Yo Dave - gonna start planning my next vacation soon - it seems you've traveled Asia extensively. What would you recommend next? Was thinking hong kong, tokyo, or maybe thailand (i also hear Laos is great, and less touristy then thailand) thoughts?

Posted by: dirty_hipster at April 13, 2009 1:34 PM

Laos is the least touristy of all, except Myanmar. Angkor Wat in Cambodia is overrun with tourists.

Northern Thailand can be nice expecially Chiang Rai.

Hong Kong has all the charm of a shopping mall. Tokyo isn't much different but outside of Tokyo, like Kyoto is very nice.

Depends what you are looking for. Beaches, temples, great food, sex...oh sorry, didn't mean to bring that up.

How long you will go for would limit the number of places to see. That said, flying country-to-country over there is oftentimes less of a pain than flying city-to-city here in the US.

PS I usually don't answer to "Yo" :)

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 1:42 PM

LOL! You are so NOT a 'Yo' DIBS! : )

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 1:48 PM

Fine, BRG. Don't tell me. I'll just look for the "Imported From..." stamp on your bum :)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:09 PM

LOL! So as harem owner do you check out all the dancer's 'bums' Snappy?! ; )

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 5:12 PM

ooooh Snappy, I like the sounds of that. It's a teeny tiny stamp, you're going to have to look very closely.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:14 PM

^^^There you go dirty hipster, are you happy with the level of conversation?

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:14 PM

Oh, yes Cobble! All of my imports must be inspected for quality and freshness. I don't mind a few dings or scratches here and there, but nothing beyond that!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:15 PM

I wonder how DIBS is managing with the tree?

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:16 PM

This sounds like checking produce...Is there a squeeze test?! LOL!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 5:17 PM

"All of my imports must be inspected for quality and freshness."
Freshness?? I dare ask how you inspect for freshness?

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:17 PM

"I'll just look for the "Imported From..." stamp on your bum :)" too funny!

Yup, I surmised it but I'd never say.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 5:23 PM

There is definitely a squeeze test. It tends to be enjoyable for all parties involved!

BRG, the fresh test is a patented secret. Can't tell you!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:27 PM

Man, I wish Rob were here today. It'd make this more fun.

If Rob were Scottish...

It's not like I'm from some lame country.....like Canada!

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:31 PM

This wackadoo made me smile today.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 5:33 PM

Picking on Biffy when he's not here to defend himself? For shame!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:34 PM

Speaking of Canucks aren't we missing someone today?

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 5:37 PM

"There's no such thing as too much makeup"
OH, YES THERE IS!

I picked up some dance moves from the video.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:40 PM

"Picking on Biffy when he's not here to defend himself? For shame!"

Who me?? NEVER!
And shhhhhh, don't tell him, he'll never know.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:41 PM

Rob!!! Hiya! Where ya been?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:42 PM

I dance like that sometimes...NOT!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:44 PM

Rob was busy applying bronzer all day.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:46 PM

I somehow don't see Rob as a bronzer....occasional eyeliner, maybe, but not bronzer :)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:47 PM

I tried to post a photo of Snappy's harem tryouts but it's not showing up? : (

[It wasn't dirty or rude].

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 5:47 PM

[It wasn't dirty or rude].

Then we don't want it....

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:50 PM

Ohhh...harem tryout photos!!! Is it like American Idol? Do I get to bash the hopeless in a snarky English accent? What fun :)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:50 PM

easter egg hunt in harlem yesterday. woke up this morning in my old room there lol. it boggles my mind my mind every time i go up there cuz there are totally new roommates and this time one looks like just like juliette lewis (actually more like ashley from rock of love bus who looks her) and she has a dog. that is the total dog from that wizard of oz movie. weird. hahahah. i only found about 4 of the 100 eggs. i suck at finding stuff in a hunt. i did however dye the best eggs and gave the eggs perms, afros, and dread locks with yarn. the weave master has nothing on this egg master. :) i have heart burn :(

*rob*

Posted by: PitbullNYC at April 13, 2009 5:51 PM

Rob Ashley from the Rock of Love Bus lives in yourold apartment in Harlem???!!

For Ashley at her best fast forward to the 1:40 mark.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 5:52 PM

Shut up! You beat me to the post!!

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 5:53 PM

"Then we don't want it...."

LOL!

Yes, exactly Snappy, you get a line of women and you get to pick them off one by one until you have your harem! ; )

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 5:53 PM

An egg with dreads? I'd love to see that! LOL

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:54 PM

You're eggs sound great Rob! Did you take photos of any of them??

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 5:54 PM

Cobble, now that's my kinda fun! Now, who can we talk to about getting a reality show featuring Snappy and her harem?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 5:55 PM

Phil Spector was just found guilty of second degree murder!

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 5:58 PM

thl... is u excited?! ashley from rock of love bus along with,... well all the skanks are gonna be on Charm School 3 with host ricki lake woo woo. at first i thought ricki lake is a stupid choice for a host, but i thought sharon sucked as the head mistress at first, but she turned out okay. when she busted out on megan i lol'd so hard. but no one will ever be a good of a head mistress as Mo'nique (if i could meet anyone in the world btw it would be Mo)

*rob*

Posted by: PitbullNYC at April 13, 2009 5:58 PM

I think there really is only one person to call...Simon Cowell, no?

Or were you thinking of more of a Survivor type atmosphere?! LOL!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 5:59 PM

What the heck is this Bus of Rock Love thing?????
I thought I was looking at a plastic surgeon's book of implants. I picked #3....going for the surgery tomorrow. I'll be soooo ready Harem Idol.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 5:59 PM

Cobble, I can't have Simon getting rid of my potential women - something tells me he and I have different tastes! I think I'd do a Depression Era Harem Search - challenges would include creating a fancy dinner on a $20 budget, finding the softest and cheapest toilet paper...

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:04 PM

I like Ricki Lake :) When does the new season start?

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:04 PM

No, no, no, Snappy, Simon will produce the show...YOU will be the judge!

Ok, THL are you in? We've got me and BRG, who else..step right up!

Clap! Clap! Start working on those abs ladies!! Who's leading the work out class tomorrow morning in Prospect Park at 8am sharp! Sit ups and crunches, and hip/belly wiggling!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 6:05 PM

The tree made it safely. No one grabbed at my trunk. Its now soaking in water before it goes in the ground. Its a Red Fuji and should produce beautiful apples with my golden delicious there to cross pollinate.

Posted by: daveinbedstuy at April 13, 2009 6:07 PM

Rob if you ever meet Mo I BEG you to plead with her to shave her legs.

puke...

http://www.spike.com/video/view-monique-leg/2757123

I'm pissed Brett chose that 1975's prom queen penthouse centerfold Tea as his Rock of Love. I couldn't stand her or her bad eyebrows.

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 6:07 PM

charm school 3 starts in may

rock of love bus = put 16 skanks on a bus who wanna get with bret michelas (EW i know!) and let the fun ensue. it's the whiet version of flava of love, i love new york etc. vh1 is an equal opportunity skankinator.

*rob*

Posted by: PitbullNYC at April 13, 2009 6:09 PM

Weeeee! I also have to let Biff in on the judging. He's my blog hubby so he needs to approve of the women brought on board - though he's not allowed to touch them!

Workouts are fine, but I like big butts and thighs - don't work those off ladies!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:09 PM

i did not know mo doesnt shave her legs. ew! no offense ladies but hairy legs on girls are gross. just like shaved legs on guys are gross.

*rob*

Posted by: PitbullNYC at April 13, 2009 6:10 PM

All women should shave. Period. No exceptions. I don't want to cut my hands while rubbing a leg. TURN OFF!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:13 PM

Agreed Rob!

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 6:14 PM

"needs to approve of the women brought on board"

re-write:
needs to approve of the women brought on as broads.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:14 PM

Good work DIBS!

Did anyone strike up a conversation with you?

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 6:14 PM

No one grabbed at your trunk Dave? That must have been disappointing for you! LOL

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:14 PM

O.k. guys I'm out. Have a good one!

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 6:14 PM

Note to self: Shave my legs, Snappy doesn't like it.

Ladies, waxing is the way to go.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:15 PM

Brownstoner of Love> starring snappy lol

*rob*

Posted by: PitbullNYC at April 13, 2009 6:16 PM

Dave is back?? I missed his post and had to scoll up.

"No one grabbed at my trunk. Its now soaking in water before it goes in the ground."

No re-write required!

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:16 PM

"Brownstoner of Love> starring snappy lol"

I dig it! Opening credits will show me standing in front of a brownstone with a group of women. Mr. B will be looking out of an upper floor window with a dissapproving look on his face.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:18 PM

Waxing hurts too much (except on the eyebrows)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:18 PM

Sally Hansen dipilatory cream is the best.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:19 PM

yeah it's stinkin like a brazillian bar in here. im out for the night too. xoxo rob

Posted by: PitbullNYC at April 13, 2009 6:19 PM

The girls can all have Brooklyn neighborhood pseudonyms!

Cobblehiller, Bayridgegirl....etc.

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 6:21 PM

In that case, I already toss out GowanusGal...she can't smell too nice!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:25 PM

But, Bodacious Bedstuy Betty sounds promising!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:26 PM

Snappy waxing doesn't hurt...well maybe in some areas, but it's not that bad. You're probably not going to the right person.
I used to go to this spa in the West Village that cateered to gay men.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:28 PM

I don't know BRG...I think I'll stick to my Sally Hansen. No pain involved and it leaves the skin as smooth as a baby's bum. I wince even thinking about waxing.

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:30 PM

Crown Heights Queen?

Prospect Heights Petunia?

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 6:31 PM

Heeeeeey Harem Idol hasn't even started and the judge already seems partial.
Is this show fixed??

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:31 PM

I had no idea about the Sally Hansen...running out tomorrow to get some.

Waxing does tooo hurt BRG! AIEEEE!

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 6:32 PM

Cobble, after using the Sally Hansen, follow up by lightly rubbing your legs with a wet wash cloth with baby oil. Lovely :)

BRG, the show isn't fixed...you still have a chance to wow me!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:35 PM

Williamsburg Wilhemina
Crown Heights Crystal
Brooklyn Heights Henrietta
Big-Boobie Brownsville Barbara

The list goes on :)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:37 PM

"BRG, the show isn't fixed...you still have a chance to wow me!"

Sure I'll show you my waxed body parts!

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:37 PM

I'm want to change my name to Bay Ridge Babe or Bay Ridge Beauty

Cobble, I think you should change yours as well. something like Cobble Hiller Hottie.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:40 PM

How about Bay Ridge Big Booty and Cobble Hiller Hott Mama? :)

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:41 PM

Okay kids, I'm out...I played around too much today, I have work to do.

Posted by: bayridgegirl at April 13, 2009 6:41 PM

Nite all and smooches. Harem tryouts begin tomorrow at noon...wear your best sari!

Posted by: InsertSnappyNameHere at April 13, 2009 6:44 PM

Nite all! [Running out to buy sari!]

Posted by: cobblehiller at April 13, 2009 6:46 PM

I'm too tall to wear a sari, I'd look like a drag queen.

Hamptons report: it is all for sale. Seriously, it looks like west Philly in the 90's. But I saw someone who looked famous -- either that or she spent a ton of money on her face. Perhaps she was just rich.

On waxing: ick. When I went to college with hippies, I shaved. Now, I shave occasionally. The thought of paying someone to rip my hair out sounds bad. They should pay me, I think.

On poop: we had success with the potty, then right after that a terrible accident that involved the bathroom floor and a pair of leggings. And socks. The cats just shrugged, but me, I had to clean it all up.

Posted by: Heather at April 13, 2009 7:35 PM

OMG Heather you are hysterical. Anytime I see one of your "after hours" posts it always makes me laugh! I swear you need your own blog. I'd read it!

Posted by: TownhouseLady at April 13, 2009 8:13 PM

THL, thanks for your kind words... I am considering it. I mean I have one, but it's all pictures of my kid.

I like yours though :)
