Northside Piers Slowly Gaining Businesses

northside-piers-businesses-42009.jpg
Sales may be a little slow upstairs, but the retail scene at Northside Piers is starting to heat up the Williamsburg waterfront. It looks like two storefronts are set to open in the building at Kent Avenue and North 4th and 5th Streets. On the south side of the building is Móle, a Mexican bar and grill that already has a branch on the Lower East Side. (Eater had a brief on this one last week.) On the north side of the building is Kent Cleaners, an organic dry cleaners promising free pickup and delivery. There is still plenty of space left for other businesses to open. GMAP

Re: Dry Cleaners

Hmm - free pick up and delivery? Interesting, I wonder what their delivery zone will be. There is definitely a dearth of reasonably priced dry cleaners on the northside. I currently pay $3 each to have a dress shirt laundered. In Manhattan I never payed more then 1.75.

To the owners, if your reading this: you could make a killing if you do delivery out east - at least to Union Ave.
