From Parking to What on Old Fulton?

old-fulton-parking-lot-0409.jpg
DumboNYC notes that the parking lot on the south side of the Brooklyn Bridge will close on April 30th. Based upon the signs that were posted recently, the space is controlled by the Parks Department. Anyone know what the plans are for the space? Update: Someone in the know confirm's one commenter's suspicions that this will be used as a staging area for the Brooklyn Bridge reconstruction project that gearing up to begin in the next few months.

... parking for judges?

... new Walentas tower...?

It'll probably be used for parking vehicles/equipment/etc associated with Brooklyn Bridge park. Not that they don't have acres, literally, of space for that stuff already but I wouldn't doubt it if the Parks Dept started parking their won stuff their using the park as the rational...

@tybur6

It's about time. That stupid bridge was going to block my view of Two Tree's Dock Street building.
