Updated Renderings of Catsimatidis' Myrtle Project

202-Myrtle-rendering-0309.jpg
In the wake of last Friday's Development Watch post about Red Apple's project at 202 Myrtle Avenue at the corner of Ashland Place, a reader pointed us to some new renderings (or newer than the most recent ones we had run) on the Dattner Architects website. Note the retail component: Bookstore, Cafe and Grocery. We have no choice but to wait and hope! On another note, this rendering makes the ceilings look a lot higher than they appear in person from the street.

Not too bad, phase two will be more interesting with a 37 story tower next to Toren.

I think I'll update the definition of 'magical realism' on wikipedia to include this rendering of Myrtle Ave.

Agree with the ZZZZ comment...if this is the best they can do in the rendering, just imagine how poor this is going to hold up after 5 years or so

Brooklyn will indeed be a magical place, once all of these bookstores (and bowling alleys!) the developers have planned are actually there.
