New Vegan Spot Replacing Old Vegan Spot on Dekalb

urban-spring-dekalb-ave-0309.jpgUrban Spring just shuttered its vegan cafe at 185 Dekalb Avenue two weeks ago but, luckily for the landlord, a pair of local entrepreneurs still believe in the concept. Carmella and Marlon Aitcheson are gearing up to open Breathe Inn Cafe in the space by month's end, reports The Local. Health won't be the cafe's only pitch: “There’s no place where you can have a drink and have a sandwich in under two minutes," said Mr. Aitcheson. GMAP

“There’s no place where you can have a drink and have a sandwich in under two minutes." Ha, ain't that the truth!

The servers at Urban Spring were unbearably slow. It took them almost ten minutes to make a salad because they'd ask me each step of the way if I wanted a certain ingredient, even though it was listed on the menu and I hadn't asked for any substitutions.

I'm excited to try this new place!

“There’s no place where you can have a drink and have a sandwich in under two minutes,"

Besides the fact that the above is meaningless unless you say "..no OTHER place..,' a vegan sandwich indeed could be finished with in under 2 minutes because it could be sent uneaten to the trash.
