Despite the excellent progress made over the years in reducing crime, particularly deadly crime, this city needs far more restrictive gun laws. More importantly though, it needs far more onerous penalties for gun possession. There are too many really stupid people out there with guns.

Message to Dave the clueless. A younging does not care about the Gun Laws of this city! The Gun Laws are hard on the people that want to defend themselves. 3.5 years is state prison for possessing a handgun is hard already.

Message to What the Jackass. Just make the "younging" care. That's what is meant by changing the laws. 3.5 years is obviously not enough!!!!! If you want to defend yourself there are legal ways to do it even by possessing a gun. This is a matter of law-abiding vs. not law-abiding. Your attitude is representative of the overall problem. I suspect you're comeback is going to be something like "stay out of the hood."

Wow, off to an early start today.

Yes, I've been up since about 5:30 with the European markets and have had my fill of coffee, crime & crap. Looking forward to a lively discussion about the Asshat gentrification of the ghetto. Seems though that gentrification has not come to this part of NYC...it isn't far from where that kid who wandered in there looking for who-knows-what and got tossed off the roof.

Stay outta my way, Snark. Best you ensconce yourself in a quiet corner booth at the Montauk Club or you're gonna get hurt. :)

DIBS, time for another coffee?

And another ammo clip, apparently.
I'm ensconcing myself as we speak.
Mmmmm. Rich Corinthian leather.

My colleagues are encouraging me to drink more tea. Maybe I'll try a RedBull and see what that does!!!!!!

Snark...my new favorite after dinner drink is Patron XO Cafe. Ever had it???

While tequila does make me smart - very smart indeed as more of it is imbibed - I haven't tried that.
I have tried Red Bull though, and found it vile. It tastes like Jello, but it is rather effective.

RedBull is vile. It's a drink for those that can't afford the finer things in life like coffee laced tequila and the real XOs.

Try talking to someone who has had 4 hours of sleep in 3 days and has just drunk 5 cans of RedBull. We peeled him off the ceiling with a crowbar and had to keep in in a dark closet till he calmed down. I thought we were looking at heart attack in a can.
