Streetlevel: Kuma Inn Expanding to Dekalb Avenue

Lower East Side Asian tapas fave Kuma Inn will be opening a new location on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed Stuy, reports Gothamist. The Thai/Filipino formula will be replicated for Brooklynites in a former laundromat at 433 Dekalb Avenue. At lunchtime, the restaurant will offer sandwiches and noodles and in the evening will serve up its small servings of both Thai and Filipino specialties. Sweet. We hope they deliver.

I love Kuma Inn--great food and sweet owners. The LES location has been BYOB on and off--I hope this one is BYOB.

"Kuma inn" is a play on the tagalog phrase "have you eaten", which is used in place of hello.

This is a very tasty restaurant on the LES. I would probably go there more often if they had a liquor license, since I don't love beer.
