Development Watch: 37 Bridge Street

Whenever we pass by 37 Bridge Street, the 64,000-square-foot loft building bought by Baruch Singer in 2007 for $13,300,000, it looks like there's work going on, but the progress from the outside isn't exactly rapid. As far as we can tell, there were approved plans (filed by Scarano Architects) in place dating back to 2005 to add three stories to the building. We've got no idea what the rooftop addition is slated to look like, but the shell of the building looks beautiful right now.

Has Baruch Singer ever actually had a sucessful development? Granted he is a very successful slumlord, but his development record isn't exactly shinning. There is that one in Greenpoint, oh no wait, that was torched.
