Streetlevel: Park Slope's Little D Eatery For Sale
Three-year-old Little Dishes Eatery is up for sale, according to a post on Gowanus Lounge. The 7th Avenue spot, called "the sort of restaurant any neighborhood would be happy to call its own," by the New York Times, is asking $220,000 or $350,000, depending which part of the listing you're looking at.

Why is it selling?
Maybe they should have opened on 5th!

oh noooo!
what happened?
I haven't eaten there, but I will say when it first opened it was pretty packed nightly, but the past few months it's been sorta empty. Shame though as it's nice to have that type of place on that stretch of 7th!
I bet the Beer Garden across the street took some of it's business as they too serve light fare
maybe I can put my diner there!!!
right around the block from my house - what a commute

They were on Craigslist over the summer - guess a commercial broker is better at finding buyers. I hope whoever buys keeps it going. This is my favorite South Slope restaurant; love the vibe and the food.

Anybody want to go in on this place with me?
I know a great spaghetti and meatballs dish known locally as Ironball's String Pie.

This is one of my favorite places in the Slope. That stinks.

This is sad. This is a great restaurant. As for location being bad, then why was this place packed every time we went there, Troll? I see far more empty seats in some Park Slope restaurants.

traditional....then how would you explain the sell off?

This is easily one of the best restaurants I've been to in the Slope. Highly recommended for either brunch or dinner.

The owner's are friends of friends of mine. When I saw the listing last summer, I asked them what was up. The owners said that even though the resto was as popular as they could have hoped, they were still barely making any money. But they cautioned that the listing was merely a due diligence move, that they had no immediate plans to sell. Let's hope they hang in there. The food has been great every time I've been there. I don't live in that nabe, but it's gotta be one of the best restos over there, non?

just one of the gazillions of small businesses that will close in the next year or two as people cut back on their spending

Shill is probably sadly right, Troll, real PS will be affected soon enough.

This is a fabulous restaurant and I urge everyone to visit and help them stick it out. They not only have interesting and tasty dishes but genuinely friendly and prompt, excellent service. Brunch has a wait every weekend, and dinners are often full - I think if anything the issue is currently that it's too cold to be at capacity, since the garden is almost as many (or more?) seats than the main restaurant.
