Electric Lampyland

electric-lamppost-0109.jpgWatch out for those lampposts! McBrooklyn reports seeing a number of electrified lampposts in the Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn areas on Monday, a drop in the bucket compared to the more than 7,000 charged objects Con Ed found on city streets in 2008. The trend is one group's friend: Livery drivers get paid $35 an hour by the utility to stand watch.

be careful walking your dogs around metal poles and things like this, a lot of dogs get electrocuted this way. also don't be dumb and stick your tongue on these either!

Let's hope the livery drivers remember when they get out of their cars to pee.
