Streetlevel: New Restaurant for Prospect Heights?

434-Park-Place-1208.jpg
Though it looked pretty boarded up when we swung by, it seems a business called Washington Tavern is opening up at 434 Park Place, between Underhill and Washington. They applied for a liquor license on December 10th. According to the New York State Liquor Authority, the application is still pending. Anybody got more news? GMAP

It'll never be as good as the Washington Tavern (The WT) in Albany.

I heard, although I cannot confirm, that this place was open on Election night (private party, perhaps) and will have a grand opening soon.

Yup, that place was open on election night, and my thought was "There's a bar here?" Maybe it was a private party, but the invitation was very liberally offered.

Dave, et tu an Albany alumnus?

If not as good as Washington Tavern, how about O'Heaney's?
