Sales Halted at Steelworks Loft

steelworks-1208.jpg"Halstead will also halt sales at the Steelworks Lofts, an 88-unit condominium in a former steel warehouse on North Fourth Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a few blocks from the waterfront," reports the NY Times. It's listed as one of several projects "hibernating" for the winter. Guess their price protection insurance didn't sway buyers.

The problem was that the units were not special in any way.

The biggest one was 1700 sq.feet.

If they supersized the units, they would have sold like hotcakes, even in this market.

Just look at the Mill Building. The SMALLEST are 1700 sq feet.

That is a really interesting buidling. They should build really interesting HUGE apartments.
