"Gowanus has unmistakably become Brooklyn’s newest culture cluster," writes New York mag. Almost W'burg, but still with more artists than stockbrokers. They round up the buildings housing the nabe's 300 or so artists, "all within a few blocks of the sometimes-putrid-smelling Gowanus Canal" and christen it Fringeville. On Curbed, too. Photo.
