Closing Bell: Adaptive Reuse in Smith Street

247-smith.jpg
Maybe it's not the best time to open a restaurant, considering the number of them that are closing. So the storefront formerly known as Sapodilla, at 247 Smith Street, is now being offered as an event space, reports PMFA. "Until recently, the door was chained closed and notices in the windows indicated that the property had been ceased by the City Marshall," they write. Now: all set up for musical chairs. If anyone rents, please report back to us.

It would be really nice to have a post holiday event and link it to contributions to a local food panty -- Bed-Stuy maybe?

Possible event names:

- Aperitifs for Briefs?
- Consumers for Bloomers?
- Pours for Drawers?
