"Simpler times"--you can say that again.
Okay, "simpler times."

funny that you put up that link about McCarren Park because I finally got around to watching the season opener of Top Chef and you see so much of the park (the chef's are living in 20 Bayard). The shots from the terrace were spectacular - overlooks McCarren, and then Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens surround you. Think the NY newbies were totally blown away.
Anyway, the park is great. I use the running track all the time, go to the green grocer, take my kid to the playground and to the community garden, etc.. Also, they planted 100 trees last year and Urban Rustic added a food cart and tables with umbrellas. It's a pretty amazing park.
