Streetlevel: Toy Shop for Crown Heights

nairobi%27s-map.jpg
Well, not just a shop. In addition to selling books, games, kid decor and videos, Nairobi's Knapsack is a "toy and play gallery," where they'll also "host awesome birthday parties and a variety of music and art classes in our play gallery space! The play gallery features a fantastic travel wall mural painted by teaching artist Peter McMath, which is sure to excite both kids and parents alike." The shop is at 744 Franklin Avenue, the physical space of the online store that's been in business since December 2006. The official opening is this Saturday. GMAP

Yea! More businesses coming to Crown Heights! I'll have to check them out for holiday giving for the World's Cutest Nephew.

I can't wait until Nostrand Avenue joins Franklin Ave as a revitalized shopping hub.

Welcomed addition to Crown Heights! Definitely want to see more of these types of shops open up on Nostrand and other commercial strips in the neighborhood.

I walked by there last weekend and peeked in the windows on my way over to About Time. Looks like a fun and inviting place.
