Development Watch: 311 Warren Street

Back in May, the scaffolding went up on the corner of Smith and Warren, a prime piece of real estate set right next to the F train entrance. That was a long time coming, since local architect Harry Simino filed for a new building permit back in 2004. Well, finally, progress has been made on this five-story building-to-be. Since the buildings around it are two and three stories, many of the floors will have good views, though the permit says the building includes only one dwelling unit. GMAP P*Shark DOB

I'll miss the honeysuckle covered fence there, that was always so sweet to walk by.
So it's going to be a storefront/garage on the street level and a 4 story living space above? Nice.

If you look at the proposed C of O, there appear to be two dwelling units -- one floor-through and one duplex. This is in addition to retail space and a medical office.
