Development Watch: 365 Union Avenue

We're not giving this development at 365 Union Avenue in Williamsburg big points for contextuality, but we like the Darth Vader look more than your average run-of-the-mill Scarano design. (It reminds us a bit of this better-than-average Bricolage building in Fort Greene.) The 7,800-square-foot building is divided into seven units. We'll see how they sell! GMAP DOB

Oh Christ and right next to the crazy car service building with the mansard roof. Now it's all beyond hope. There's a string of unfinished "luxury" lofts here that seem to have been under wraps for a very long time. The location is awesome -- maybe the market will turn all these condos into "affordable" housing?

I know this was posted yesterday so no one will read this, but Good god are these going to be for sale ? I live around the corner, and I always assumed rentals. It's the most underbuilt building I've ever seen- there is like 1 layer of durock between you and the elements. The heating systems run along the top part of your "window", giving everyone a view of your ducts. At least the other 4 or 5 projects on this block have concrete floors. This building is a mess. Buyer beware.
