135 Joralemon In Contract. Finally.

135-Joralemon-Street-1108.jpgLades and gentlemen, 135 Joralemon Street is now in contract. The former fire victim underwent a beautiful renovation in 2006 and 2007 but had a tough time finding a buyer after being listed in the summer of 2007 for $5,950,000. After brief stops at $5,750,000 and $5,250,000, the price was cut to $4,950,000 last February, where it stayed until going into contract ten days ago. Anyone know the contract price—we're dying to know!

Dave--I look forward to that as well. Would especially like to hear DOW's thoughts on the matter.

The prices on this house and 17 Prospect Park West will say an awful lot about what first-rate properties in Brooklyn might expect.

It went for 895 k. And I purchased it. Just kidding this place is nice and even I would pony up 1.2 Mil for it...

I hope the new owner does something about the front garden. The messy garden really detracts from the prim and proper house. It's a sunny garden so one could grow most things.
I would recommend box and holly. Something formal, clipped, classy. The current garden looks like a bag person laid it out.
