I love that greenpoint reformed church building, one of my faves.

Now, being a dimiwit, I need someone to explain to me why someone would sell a house to themsleves. I recently checked ACRIS records on a property that had been sold and saw that the deed had been transferred from person A to person A. Please enlighten me.

The Greenpoint story was great. Hopefully, the tiles and other original details remain intact.

I also hope the perpetrators in the foreclosure fraud case get put under the jail. I just can't understand how you can meet with some desperate soul who is losing their home, see their misery and panic, and then rob them blind, and walk away. That makes you lower than a snake's belly, to get colloquial. I hope the prosecution rate on this kind of crime rises, as people finally realize the connection between this and our economic woes. Mortgage scams added fuel to the fire of predatory lending practices and sub prime mortgages.

Lisa,
You didn't include any articles on all the financial craziness going on. I'm not sure you needed to but it kind of struck me.
