Top 50: Who'd We Leave Out?
Given that this was our first effort at putting together a list like this, we were bound to screw some things up, either by commission or omission. So help up pull together those deserving of inclusion that slipped our overly-crowded mind. One commenter already pointed out the following omissions: Dan Rice of the Jehovah's Witnesses, John Sexton of NYU, Councilmembers de Blasio and Yassky and the commercial power trio of Tim King, Chris Havens and Brian Leary. We'll do a wrap up on Monday.

I would include Mary Kay Gallagher for her promotion (even if it is in her own self-interst) of Victorian Brooklyn.

We thought Fishman was going to be moving to Seattle when we were working on the list!

Yourself, brownstoner, but better for you to have omitted yourself and let us point out the omission.

Well, Sarah did include us in the broader "Media" slot at #9...against our admittedly weak protestations ;)

Whoops! Never mind then (re: O'conell). By the way, in general i really enjoyed this segment and thought it was about as good a list as anyone could have come up with.

Well, there are probably a good 15-20 people like the ones above who should have been included. We'll be all set for next year now though! The hardest part is the order. It's kind of a silly exercise to actually rank these folks. Maybe next year just pick 100 and make it alphabetical!

You should use Selectricity, Brownstoner.

No visual artists? Where would Williamsburg be if the artists hadn't originally set up studio space. Definitely Arnold Lehman; whether you agree or not with his policies he saved the Brooklyn Museum from oblivion. Harvey Lichtenstein. Jack Walsh - Celebrate Brooklyn.
