The Edge Sells Williamsburg's Most Expensive Condo

What financial crisis? According to marketing folks for The Edge, one of its "premier duplex penthouse residences" went for $5.145 million: "the most expensive residential sale ever in Williamsburg and the sixth most expensive sale in Brooklyn," according to Curbed and an analyst at the Real Deal (actually, they say it's the seventh most expensive condo). Not satisfied with a single penthouse, the owner is apparently snatching up two and combining them. Per the Real Deal: "The buyer combined two penthouse units to create a 3,969 square-foot apartment with six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The apartment also has two roof decks and two balconies." One commenter on Curbed wasn't ready to break out the champagne though: "Save your salvos," said someone with the moniker Thomas Aquinas. "Let's see if this really closes."

I know it sounds crazy right now, but this will probably be the best apartment in all of Williamsburg. It might work out fine--in the long run.

I don't even know what to say about that price but those will be some crazy views.
