Comment: Hardly Bullish. Bet those 13th Street sellers are relieved.

I'm really impressed with the selling price on the 13th Street house. Plus, from what I remember, it needs work.

For a house in the far South Slope (although a REALLY gorgeous block) 2 million ain't shabby at all.

What kind of mouth breathers work at Corcoran, what is the logic behind having a house on the market that is not selling, then RAISING the price.

No wonder they are the bastard red headed stepchild of Brooklyn Real Estate.

Why did the price go UP on the Carroll Gardens place?

Xander...that's one of my favorite phrases..."mouth breathers!!!"

Once again, folks, this thread (Open house picks 6 months later) will be a lot more telling come the spring, 6 months after the financial meltdown started. Given the average gap of 3 months between contract/close, most properties that close before mid-December will not reflect the new reality that hit us towards the end of September. And Corcoran is nuts to up the price on that property, unless they are just hoping that the higher price will offset the major discount sellers are starting to expect on asking prices - but this still a dumb strategy on the agent's part.
