Hell Not Freezing Over at 333 Carroll

333-carroll-1008.jpgCarroll Gardens' "Hell" building, the old Regency Service Carts building at 333 Carroll, ain't getting any more heavenly, reports the Daily News. "Nearly three years after a Buildings Department permit was granted to convert the... building on Carroll St. into a five-story luxury condo tower, construction has ground to a halt. The result is a messy construction site with no major work going on for more than a year and a half - and neighbors fear it will remain an eyesore for months to come." One neighbor calls the former Scarano project a tumor. In February, a new building permit was issued by DOB, but a stop work order shut the project down two months later.

I hate this festering boil with a fiery passion. My husband finds the double-tall addition strangely compelling, but I blog to differ. What an eyesore.
