Hell Not Freezing Over at 333 Carroll
Carroll Gardens' "Hell" building, the old Regency Service Carts building at 333 Carroll, ain't getting any more heavenly, reports the Daily News. "Nearly three years after a Buildings Department permit was granted to convert the... building on Carroll St. into a five-story luxury condo tower, construction has ground to a halt. The result is a messy construction site with no major work going on for more than a year and a half - and neighbors fear it will remain an eyesore for months to come." One neighbor calls the former Scarano project a tumor. In February, a new building permit was issued by DOB, but a stop work order shut the project down two months later.

I hate this festering boil with a fiery passion. My husband finds the double-tall addition strangely compelling, but I blog to differ. What an eyesore.
