Foreclosures of the Week

It's a little late to do you much good (since the auction starts in less than three hours), but here are a couple of interesting properties scheduled to go on the foreclosure block this afternoon. At left, 402 Bainbridge is a three-story house in Bed Stuy with a lien of $482,839 on it, significantly higher than the $420,000 it sold for back in 2004. At right, 100 Washington Avenue is a three-story house with views of the BQE that's got a lien of just $103,689 around its neck; it appears to have been in the same hands for decades. Interested? The auction's at 3 p.m. today at 360 Adams Street, Rooms 261 and 274, respectively.

I lived in the "Chocolate Factory" on Park Ave for a year and used to walk past that house on Washington Ave all of the time. My wife and I used to refer to it as the crack house. You couldn't pay me to live there.

oh yeah, and it has a GREAT view of the BQE since it is right under it (props to the photographer)
