Across the street from the un-offensive Scarano building at 354 Franklin will be... another Scarano building! This one, at 125 Lexington Avenue, will be four stories, with 11 units, according to the DOB. The last permit was filed in June for shoring and foundation.GMAP P*Shark DOB

Lexington once had a train line.. maybe they will bring it back.. well I can fantasize... Anyway Franklin is like the boarder area and many people are spilling deeper into BS these days... The area has the G,A and S trains and Pratt is very close by.. Just like that area near Columbia that has been taking off the Pratt area seems to be doing the same...

Another Scarano job that will change the future of the neighborhood.

Does anybody know whether there is actually any progress being made on the developments on this block? The un-offensive Scarano building mentioned in the original post has had the same broken window for the past 6 months, and when I walked by the other day someone had climbed over from a neighboring building and was loitering on one of the balconies. This block could appreciate in value significantly if these buildings are ever finished and people move in, but right now they appear to be the kind of big, empty, poorly attended spaces that attract crime.
