Coney Island Ave Gets New Restaurant

visions-1008.jpg
Will Cortelyou's transformation leak out to CIA? That's what the folks at Visions are hoping. The restaurant, at 752 Coney Island Avenue at Cortelyou, serves "new American continental cuisine," which includes veggie spring rolls, Buffalo wings, cajun chicken and lobster ravioli. It's run by a former food and beverage manager for Swisshotel Istanbul, but so far no Turkish coffee on the menu. GMAP

This place used to be Cortelyou Lounge, a dive bar manned by an old-school Brooklyn broad in a leopard-print shirt. The jukebox even had "Cheaper to Keep Her" by Johnny Taylor.

Havent' been to Visions, but wish 'em well.

I didn't notice the dive bar had been remade til I saw this post. Had lunch over the weekend. Food was good, but they could use some more customers. Give it a try.
