Good News for Commercial Real Estate in Dumbo

45-main-street-1008.jpgThe Manhattan office market may be hurting, but fourteen new businesses are opening up shop in Two Trees' spaces in Dumbo, including graphic design, marketing, and advertising companies, according to a press release that landed in our inbox this morning. They're filling 24,000 square-feet of commercial real estate space in three Walentas-owned props—45 Main Street, 55 Washington Street and 20 Jay Street.

Generally 1000-3000 sf, with a few larger deals, often current tenants expanding. 20 to 30 a foot...., based on size, exposure, building.

I maintain that dumbo is the most vibrant office market in the boros, with the most leases, new space offered through renovation. There is quite a bit of turnover, with companies merging, moving and closing, but they keep coming !
