A Karl Fischer Building for South Slope's 5th Avenue

5725thAve_0908.jpg
Going up at 572 5th Avenue, just across the street from the Fifth Avenue Committee's affordable housing project: a seven-story, 70-foot, 18-unit building designed by Karl Fischer. No rending on his Web site, but the size seems about right for how the street has been reinvented in the last few years.

Hope it looks better than the cockeyed brutalist nightmare next to Sidecar.

I actually like that "cockeyed brutalist nightmare" next to Sidecar. I call it Darth Condo.

No rending? How about nashing?

They need to build more and more and more. Eventually we'll have enough new condo residents that will outnumber you granola eating brownstoners and we won't care about your parking issues, guilt absolution, etc. Ah, it's only a matter of time before you fade away anyway.
