620 10th Street Hits the Market

Though no renderings or photos have made it to Betancourt's Web site, the ten condos at 620 10th Street, at 8th Avenue, have hit the market. We hear they'll range somewhere between $1.3 million and $1.9 million. The building has no sexy amenities like screening room or swimming pool, but the penthouse will have a nice amount of outdoor space, and one of the units has a garage. Hopefully they'll send us a rendering soon. Pricing seems, well, optimistic, yes?

They're going to need to dream up something really special for their marketing...maybe a Palin out-clause.

In the event that John McCain, Republican candidate for President of the United States of America, wins the Presidential election to be held on Nov. 4, 2008, Developer will promptly provide Psychiatric services to unit owner. Unit owner has option to cry uncontrollably through out all public spaces in building and pound chest while screaming, Why, Why, Why.

So much for keeping it in the style of the surrounding buildings, as the church promised. This is a monster.

These prices seem crazy, parking space or no parking space. Why pay all that money when you could buy an entire house in a very similar location ?

The design I can actually live with - it could be a lot worse in my opinion. The prices are tragic - I'll be surprised to see these move at all at these prices in this housing climate.

Those prices are beyond belief! You can buy a 3 family, 3,000 sq house in Carrol Gardens from the same real estate agency for less than ANY of those condos!
