Streetlevel: Cortelyou Gets a New Restaurant

The folks at Ditmas Park Blog have some notes on a new restaurant opening at 1508 Cortelyou Road at Marlborough in Ditmas Park. The area continues to be up and coming, as evidenced by the paparazzi who swarmed the Farm at Adderley when some celebs had dinner there recently. We don't know much about Solo Kitchen & Bar, other than they applied for a liquor license under the name KVK back in July, which is still pending. Anybody got more info?

Syacamore, the bar cum flower shop, owned by Gary and Allison of The Farm and Pomme de Terre, is also rumored to be opening this Friday. They've done a great job of rescuing the gorgeous leaded and stained glass panels which were hidden by a various store front signs over the decades. Many thanks!

Prodigal Son... I don't think that's funny. Comments like that just make me revise my resume and look for a new job (outside of the NYC area) But alas, there are MANY MANY things that cause me to do that in this fine city of ours.
