Sales Begin at Northside Piers

As of Tuesday, you can officially bid on a studio, one-, two-, or three-bedroom from $349,990 to $2.9 million at Two Northside Piers, the Toll Brother's Project on Kent between North 4th and North 5th. One Northside Piers is about two-thirds sold (and recently gone rent-to-own), and Part Three is still in the works. Anybody planning to snatch one up? And wow do you think it stacks up against its waterfront neighbor The Edge?

Wow that rendering is impressive.
However, without shades or awnings, you will fry in that room between 2:00 PM and sunset. What ever happened to the idea of windows? I still like windows. I like how you can look though them and yet they are set in a solid wall. I also like that you can pad around your living room in your underwear without being one of the sights on the Circle Line.
This room is awfully beautiful though, but it is for someone with a formal lifestyle who is always well dressed and never perspires even with the sun beating down on them on the couch.

I have no idea if it's based on reality but the Edge developers have definitely done the better job of convincing the public that it has the superior product.

As we've seen in Dumbo, waterfront properties sell. I suspect that this will do well in the long run. Unlike Dumbo, there is no project, no noise from 4 trains going over the Manhattan bridge, and no intense pollution. And, the L takes you to more places faster than the F.

Also, these towers along with the Edge and the new buildings across the street, are all zoned for PS 17, which is a terrific school - 5 stars math, A's from the DOE, an award winning principal and a federally funded library.

Agree with Atlantic Frantic, that the Edge is doing a wonderful marketing job, but these towers are offering a really nice high end apartment.

I am not in a position to buy anything at all right now, but in all seriousness, if you have money, go negotiate and pick up some of the one bedrooms that aren't selling. you will rent them out in an hour.

my condo complex is not nearly as nice and all of the owners who rent out their places say that they immediately got well over the mortgage payments in rent.

rent in williamsburg keeps going up up up.
