New Music Venue Coming to Gowanus

littlefield_08_09.jpg
Gothamist has the details on the Gowanus musical establishment we wrote about in July. Littlefield will open at 622 Degraw Street "in an old, 6200-square-foot warehouse renovated with an eco-friendly touch," they write, including interior courtyard, recycled rubber tire walls and wood salvaged from a bowling alley for the bar. In addition to live music, Littlefield will host film screenings and art installations; a movable wall allows the space to transform as needed, accommodating up to 300. The floor plan, courtesy of Gothamist, is on the jump.

Curious what typoes of music they'll be booking. I'm guessing this is a 1-2 million dollar project they've got. Gotta pay back the project. How much talent will -finally- come to Brooklyn?

Hopefully they'll get the same kind of bands that play at Mercury Lounge in Manhattan.
