More Retail on Horizon for Jay Street

Make way for more shops in Dumbo. The owners of the 1913 factory at the corner of Water and Jay Streets in Dumbo received approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission this week to make some alterations to the facade that would allow for the ground floor of the building to be converted to retail usage. As the rendering indicates, expect to see a concrete catwalk with steps similar to the one down the block at 20 Jay Street.

This should be a great thing for Jay Street if the landlord isn't too greedy and can get his Walentas-like vision thing on.
