Development Watch: 80 Dekalb Avenue

Over at 80 Dekalb Avenue, Ratner's 365-unit rental project, construction has moved beyond the two bottom floors to where the set-back appears to begin at the third floor. Only 31 more to go!

Say what you will about the man, but Ratner obviously made the right call a while back to make this a rental building.

Looks like some extremely high ceilings on the first two floors.
According to the C of O, the ground floor has car-lift parking and retail space, then there's a mechanical mezzanine, then the second floor has more parking (boo!), a gym, and a lounge. The apartments start on the third floor, though it's not all-residential until the 13th floor, which is presumably where it clears the adjacent building on the south side.

this building is moving at a snails pace.
and its particularly annoying because of the blockage it causes on dekalb. lets pick up the pace!
oh yeah, i'm also waiting for the day that construction materials get dropped on pedestrians on sidewalk. seems like only a matter of time..
