Closing Bell: Advice on Brooklyn Staycations

sambrown_430_brooklyn_portrait.jpg
The Travel Channel takes on Brooklyn tonight, when Samantha Brown's Passport to Great Weekends covers art in DUMBO and sideshows in Coney Island, Boerum Hill restaurants and hipster chain stores. Will it cover anything we haven't already discovered? Have to tune in to find out. Only problem: it starts at 10PM, so it might interfere with one other rather important TV event starting at that time.

McCain's Save-The-Asshat Plan

South Park?

I doubt McCain has much of a plan to save anybody. If he is elected DOWhat's dreams will come true.

Posted by: wasder at September 4, 2008 4:25 PM

He has a plan. Say nothing of substance and throw a woman with good legs out in front. Don't let her talk to reporters but who cares? she can bash with the best of 'em!

Ohhhh- you meant on the economy and the war in Iraq and health care and everything else they've screwed up in this country? Oh no- no plan whatsoever.

dittobeg- south Park still on?

oops- dittoburg. sorry.

Wait, wait - am I getting a vibe that Brooklyn brownstone owners (and those that want to be them) might actually be standard-issue, knee-jerk liberals? I'm shocked.

Gee, Brownie, sorry you felt that you had to delete my comment, but not before The Polemical One took the bait. Frankly, you started it....

Hey rookie (so aptly named). It's a lot better than being a standard issue conservative jerk with no plan.

Posted by: lurker in the mist at September 4, 2008 7:44 PM

Hey - I think both parties blow. Given the choice between Republicans and Democrats, I'll just pass. Give me a call when a true centrist party emerges.

Two T and A hits in a row here on Brownstoner. Is this a first? Looking forward to tomorrow.

Centrist! Give me a break. Both parties are centrist, one just more odious than the other.
